The first thing you'll notice about the map is that not all of the US is covered in territory. That is on purpose. All territories have been drawn, and unless I move Alaska/Hawaii/Puerto Rico, they're staying where they are.

The map is based on economic areas. While it does keep the same square county borders, the economic areas combine some counties and omit others - which, while making the US look fragmented, it keeps the US from being one huge blob.

The bonus structure - the Blue/Green/Purple ones can't be changed (Those are based off actual combinations), but the Red/Yellow/Pink/Orange ones can.

If anyone has any suggestions (Connections to add, bonus values to change, bonuses to change), feel free to. Also I need people to test the map :3

If anyone wants to set a game up using this map I'd like to give it a shot. This is certainly interesting and kills off a lot of the baggage territory. The only negative point to this map is that my state is practically worthless in terms of income :(

If you think your state is bad, my state's only half of a territory.

Fixed that, and now the map's in testing mode - please post if you want to test out the map.

EDIT: Blame "Manchester" for that mistake, I thought they were spelled the same way.

Fixed the connections - also fixed "Eiko -> Elko" and "Cincinati -> Cincinnati" (Had it right on the bonus, though)

As for the maybe's, Harrisburg was supposed to be diagonal, I think, and Salt Lake City does touch, but I put a clarifying line anyway. Same with Victoria-Corput Christi (When I upload another version; probably going to fix some of the borders)

EDIT: Out of curiosity, does Warlight have an easier way to search for territories? I had to consult Wikipedia's list to see which ones were where.

EDIT 2: Also, I recall a list of testers a long time ago, but I can't seem to find it... Maybe it's time for a new thread.

Found other missing connections:
McPherson - Salina (Kansas)
Mankato - Minneapolis (Minnesota)
Kokomo - Indianapolis (Indiana)
Ft Wayne - Wabash (Indiana)
Marion - Peru (Indiana)

Also, maybe you could add a connection between Nashville and Central Kentucky? They're very close together, and yet to go from one to the other would take quite a few turns the way the map is set up now.

- Added connections between Nashville/Central Kentucky
- Added bonuses for those territories that didn't have bonuses - they get a special light pink color.
- Added connections near Birmingham
- Moved Billings to the Montana Bonus, which increased to 6 armies/8 territories.
- Connection fixes as above
- Slight border adjustments to the background - still need to fix some more though

Thanks for the help and suggestions :)

Add a connection line between Yauco and Aguadilla in PR for clarification?

EDIT: Oh, and add the connection too...

EDIT 2: Perhaps add a connection between Corning, NY and Bradford, PA?

- More slight background fixes
- EDIT: Even more slight background fixes
- Added connections as above
- Also added connections between Binghamton/Oneonta/Kingston
- The isolated bonuses are properly showing
- Removed connections as above
- EDIT: Removed Harrisburg-Carlslie/Selinsgrove connection
- EDIT: Some bonuses in Pennsylvania/Maryland changed color
- EDIT: Easter egg!

Also: The map will change a bit, as apparently places have lost/gained/been combined in some way. I have 955 territories, but the wiki page has 929 >.>

EDIT: Actually I'm not sure what to do with the above because the map seems to contradict with Wiki >.>

Final Edit on this post: Personally, I believe this map is pretty much ready for testing now.

Territory size might be a problem - everything's bigger in Texas... er, the West.

Also, sections of this map may make for interesting maps in their own right. I would be willing to make a map based on a section of this map if requested (and the map is actually decently viable - I wouldn't make one for just one state, for example.)

Updates:
- Fixed an embarrassing oversight on Maryland's background area.
- Created state superbonuses, using a mini-map located on the top-right (Similar to Cpenko's Big Europe) This is likely to see a lot of revising.

"Rolling Green" Kentucky should be "Bowling Green".

Also in Tennessee you have "Nashville - Davidson - Franklin - Murfreesboro". Davidson isn't a city in TN, it's the county that Nashville, Franklin, Murfreesboro are in, but this territory is predominantly Brentwood. You may wish to swap "Davidson" for "Brentwood".

Edit: Great looking map, by the way. Can't wait to play it :)

Oddly, the Davidson/Brentwood territory is supposed to be Davidson - Blame the census and economic statisticians for that. Rolling Green has been changed to Bowling Green.

The state bonus project has advanced!

Step 1: Create a mini-map of the United States - Check
Step 2: Make sure bonuses are clickable and in the state - Check
Step 3: Balance the bonuses - Not Check

- Montana bonus split into West and East to make the state Montana bonus not redundant - The small bonuses are worth 2 and the big one 1, which essentially lowers the full bonus by 1 army,

Balancing superbonuses are hard, though, I could just leave them all at 1 naturally.

Bump

- Simplified the minimap. Normally, simplification is a horrible tool to use for detail, but it helps a lot in making the small map smooth rather than having a lot of sharp, very small turns.
