Is it ok to team in FFA games? asking for a friend

It's ok to team but if PMs are disabled, then teaming is discouraged.

Teaming in a FFA game is cheating in my book. It isn't against the rules per se, but why would you want to gain an unfair advantage in a sporting game? It is a good way to get blacklisted.

When in doubt, ask the host. You won't get Warlight banned for it, but teaming in a game where it's made explicitly clear that you shouldn't ("no diplo", "no teams" in title or description) is a scummy thing to do and people will dislike you for it. But it won't really matter to get blacklisted by just a few players or even a few dozen since you'll still be able to find and join FFAs.
