A fairly mysterious player called neal has hit 1st on RTL with an impressive 30 game undefeated streak!

https://www.warlight.net/Profile?p=5286630035

Who exactly is neal? Well, he is a player who first joined warlight in January 2012, under his first account called "bore. As bore, he managed to hit 21st on the 1v1 ladder, and 31st on the second seasonal, showing that even back then he had some pretty great potential.

So congratulations to neal for his accomplishment. He showed some serious skill in this run and the consistency is certainly very hard for even many elite players to accomplish easily. I wonder if neal plans on continuing his run or will he retire from the RTL undefeated.

I personally would have been interested to see him take on a few top players during his run, but regardless he still demonstrated a very great and impressive deal of skill with his win streak, and defeated some pretty good players highly ranked players. Well done irregardless.

"As bore, he managed to hit 21st on the real time ladder, and 31st on the second seasonal"

Bore never touched the real-time ladder. He played the 1v1 ladder, and was rank 21. In 2012. Rank 21 was 1768 rating. He went 113-76 games, it's not terrible, but it's a 60% winrate, and he never cracked 1800 elo.

Calling that pretty great potential is a hell of a stretch.

Bore's rank 31 seasonal was 12-8, pedestrian. Better than average, but not by much. It's not like rank 31 nowadays. Rank 31 last season went 15-5.

Neal's RTL streak is quite impressive, but I find it very unlikely that bore was the last account he played.

The odds that a player that used to have 58% 1v1 and never cracked 1800 elo joining the RTL and going 30-0 is bordering on 0.

If we assume 58% chance to win each RTL game, the odds you win 30 in a row is 1 in 12,507,202.

neal's a top player under disguise. Ollie seems relatively likely.

This has to be the most ridiculous thing I have heard on here in a while.

Interesting to note that. I had no idea about that since it wasn't shown on his profile.

35-0

He has equaled the most wins in a row record on the Real-Time Ladder. Can he go one more to own the record?

When kurd went 33 games on RTL he beat -

Xeno x2, Pardon, Octane, NoMercy x2, Fierce x2, AG x2, player12345 etc

https://www.warlight.net/LadderGames?ID=3&&LadderTeamID=16353&Offset=100

It's the same story with Buns - he beat lots of good players to go 35 games -

https://www.warlight.net/LadderGames?ID=3&LadderTeamID=9054

They both clearly were willing to play top players on their way to get their record. And they both were totally epic.

But Neal avoids the top players. It's just no comparison:

So sorry, but no. I don't care how many games neal wins, Buns is the legitimate holder of the RTL win streak record.

You can say buns' and Kurdistan's streaks are more impressive, but a streak record is completely objective. Whoever had the most wins a row has the record. To say otherwise is a little silly.
