It has every right to be covered in a World Cultures class when the 5 major religions are the topic. It could also be talked about in various other Social Studies classes, and even a Language/Literature class. It should not, however, be taught. Church communities have their own days to teach about religion, anyway.

It shouldn't be taught. If it should be covered, it should be covered the same way as ancient Aztec, Roman, Greek, Norse etc. myths.

Yes. It should be legal. I don't want my taxes going to provide a defense lawyer for some teacher in Oklahoma for teaching something that 90% of Oklahoma parents want taught to their kids.

Laws cost time and money to enforce. Why spend it on thought policing when we can spend that time and money on things that matters?

That's an absurd statement, like saying the world is flat.
There's extremely strong evidence for evolution, including
1: Vestigal organs in various species
2: DNA sequence comparison - even non-coding parts share increasing amounts of identical sequences in species when they shared a common ancestor more recently. Additionally, they form nested hierarchies when compared. Given the millions of information units in DNA code, this is an extraordinarily strong statistical reason for evolution to be true.
3: Fossil record
4: Plain simple observation - diseases adapting and emerging, bacteria becoming resistant to antibiotics, our banana, livestock and crops being artificially selected to maximize food
5: Ring species

When I am saying Evolution I am referring to one animal changing into another. Not adaption.
