^ This idiot...If Germany did not invade USSR then USSR would invade Europe. Do you know why USSR lost so much at the start? Because their army,generals and equipment was all offense based. When the first German soldiers crossed the border they did not encounter any minefields,barbed wires or any defensive systems, why would a defensive army do that?

The Red Army was weak in the winter war because Stalin purged officers along partisan lines. Collectivized farming led to starvation in the decades before the war. The USSR's GDP was about half that of Germany until 1943 despite over twice the population. In 1945 the Red Army was on the brink of starvation and had to rely on the Western allies for food.

While totalitarianism prevents rebellion, it also leads to pork barrel spending and the production of unnecessary goods in odd quantities. For example the USSR overproduced paint because there was no free market to indicate that they didn't need to produce it in such quantities.

Compare the Western mixed-market economies with the USSR and their greater war production. The US produced 300,557 aircraft during the war, the UK produced 131,549. The USSR, with its greater population, produced only 158,220 aircraft.

Conscripts make lower quality soldiers, it's good to have a military with the highest proportion of highly-trained and specialized volunteers as possible.

On a metaphysical level quality is more important than quantity. There's no heroism in throwing millions of peasants into the slaughter.

Civilizations don't respect heroism. Please read up on the Middle Ages, the feudal system, and traditionalism (I know you won't, you'll continue making claims from ignorance). Spiritual leadership was once prevalent but the West has completely degenerated.

I've never made any supernatural claims, and the traditionalist historians aren't theologians. I would accuse you of misunderstanding the source material but you've never read a book and just make claims from ignorance, so I can't do that.

Sorry, to interrupt, but aircraft is a horrible indicator for military production in the USSR.

German GDP was higher than Soviet GDP for most of the war. In 1945 at the very end of the war their GDPs were comparable. Even excluding Germany's occupied territories. And keep in mind the Soviet Union occupied territories of the former Russian Empire that factor into the total.

Also factor in that the USSR had far more natural resources and people than the German Reich. It's safe to say the USSR was far less efficient during the war and looking at Communist countries on a case-by-case basis, it does not appear that Communist countries are particular effective in war. Correlation does not imply causation sure but the claim "Communist countries are effective in war" is toothless.
