Monthly Tour Update - 05/2017
  • The TOP10 on the Tour after May:



    First of all a good news, seems Pana didn't retire completely!
    Despite his reduced activity and earlier boots, he still could increase his advantage.
    He earned a nice 12-3 records (with 2 boot defeats) and got 250 additional points with an event win and a semifinal.

    MIFRAN earned a 7-4, Buns earned a 2-1 and MoD earned a 5-2 records, but neither of the rest of the Big Four gain any points because their already strong best of six results (only three 500 Series and one 250 Series events finished in the last month)

    Wini earned a 2-3 records and stay the same point level too (seems he is a major event specialist ;) )

    rakleader earned a good 8-4 records, and gain 135 points, but stay at the 6th position slightly reducing his point disadvantage to Wini, and slightly increased his point advantage over ANT who earned a 4-4 records and didn't get any points.

    FlyingBender did the only position change in the TOP10, he earned only a 4-3 records, but all his wins come from the Earthsea 500 Series event (resulting a semifinal) and gain 160 points, and reach the 8th position. I am happy that I can see him in a finals again after his hard period ;)

    Milly earned a 1-4 records from last month and lost one position to 9th.

    Hades earned a 2-1 records, and gain 25 points, and easy kept his TOP10 position.

  • Positions 11-20 on the Tour after May:



    DR. Love earned a 0-1, Hunta earned a 3-4 records and both Hydras stay in the same positions (Hunte gain 25 points though).

    Quicksilver no new activity, just like usual, albeit finally he joined to a few events in the Clay season :P

    ACL Tears earned a very nice 6-0 records (won the Red Dead Redemption 500 Series event), gain 490 points and did a nice position change from 26th to 14th!

    Although Timinator hasn't yet won any event, but his rank is continuously raising month by month. He earned now a nice 8-3 records, gain 305 points, and went from 21th to 15th position.

    CHRIS, Krzysztof and ps the three Tour veterans were in the 14th, 15th, 16th positions in last month, but all of them sunk now. CHRIS earned 3-4 records but 0 points and sunk to 16th positions. Krysztof earned 2-2 records and 25 points but sunk to 18th pos. ps earned 4-4 records, 25 points but sunk to 19th position.

    Seems that awesomeusername's momentum slow down (just compared to last months when he run very well) and earned "only" a 4-2 records and gain 170 points, raising from 19th to 17th (still raising though ;) )

    Emu Pub earned a 1-1 records, and gain 20 points but still sunk 3 positions (from 17th to 20th).

    The field is very very close around these positions!

Congratulations to Pardon99 for his first Tour event win! With this 500 points he will be in the TOP50 so no more need any wild card for him (I like when players give the wild card back so fast, because it certainly means that I gave the card to the right player ;) )
Congrats to Njord for his first final as well.
And congrats to the two Lynx members in the semifinals (although was an upset for me that none of them reach the final)

I made my monthly ongoing events analysis, based on the state of yesterday morning.
Here is the updated google docs:

I collected the present finals (F, SF, QF) positions from the ongoing events (+ the RAD-O§IL 500 Series event won by Pardon99), so here are the players with 2 or more finals (the + means still in the event):

Additionally I collected all present major events (except fresh started Elitism Africa) and QF+ small events point status for the TOP20 + players above, and here are the Rankings based on those present minimum points (in the brackets the possible maximum points but only from majors):



Seems that the speed of the Big Four has decreased a bit :|
Pana has 270, Buns has 180, MIFRAN has 130 and MoD has 110 points only from the ongoing events (moreover MIFRAN and MoD hasn't got good growth opportunity from the ongoing events neither), this is not what we experienced before :O

But we have some raising stars ;)

rakleader has got 1440 (!) additional points from ongoing events, plus further growth opportunity too! And close opportunity, because he is in 3 finals (2 is Masters!) and if he win those 3 games, that means +900 points and the second place with 4670 points (!) for him. Btw, he is already in the 4th position, cleaving the Big Four :O

Wini overtook MoD too, he has a nice 795 additional points too. Interesting that most of these points come from smaller events not from the Masters 1000 as before he did. But these additional points still come, that's the point ;)

ANT (+915 points) and Hades (+880 points) mean the next level (7th and 8th positions). They are also rising steadily.

Although Timinator (+895 points) still can't win an event (:P) he is rising steadily as well, he is (will be) already in the TOP10! And he has some nice growth opportunity too.

FlyingBender (+65) will out from the TOP10 :(, but Milly (+225) still hold his position, which is a very nice performance imo!

There are two Masters clan member who run well recently, Master Bjarke (+830) and Pardon99 (+680).

But we have some other good ongoing run as well: Rento (+510), INSIDE (+450), awesomeusername (+360), Jackie Treehorn (+295), Rob (+280), Muli (+270), ACL Tears (+250)

Huh, finally I made my monthly "score-keeping" posts (although with a big delay...).
I hope the next (more and upgraded ;) ) score-keeping posts will be made by Min34 already :P

I changed a template in the grass (WR) season, Final Fantasy VII -> Pangea Ultima (https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=13513121)

The new template was proposed and made by Rento
However, since my return to Warlight from over a 2 year break, I've been progressively getting more and more disappointed with the quality of WR templates that have been created so far. Most of them feel to me like lesser copies of old strat ME,and often with more possible FTBs than old strat ME, which make the games very dependant on luck in your first turn (FF VII, Phobia... I'm looking at you).

So, being the creative man I am, I decided to make a new WR template myself. I was wondering if you could possibly include it somewhere in the Tour. I'd be very happy if that was possible. I think it's a very good and unique template.

What makes this template stand out:
- a combination of low starting armies per territory, 6 base income and a reinf card after first turn = FTBs are impossible! No more getting screwed by luck on your first turn! And first turn matters the most.
- a big, open map. Reinf card makes taking a 5-bonus in 2 turns guaranteed. 6 bonus is possible too. That gives a lot of picking options.
- to balance out high initial income, the reinf card is split into 6 pieces (so you start with 5). The template seems a little bit faster than old strat ME, but slower than strat MME SR, which I think is a good balance.

Because we passed the one year and as the Ranking System works, in the near future will be expired event results (which means minus points) not only new (plus points) event results.

Just a reminder, results from an event will be expired when the next year event (the event in the same week) will be finished.

The first event which will mean not only new but expired points too is the Elitism Africa Masters 1000.

So we have a new thing: defending points (the points which will be expired and you need gain minimum the same amount to not decrease your Ranking points total).

With the end of the present grass (WR) season here are the biggest expired points
(the end = when all events from the WR season + Elitism Africe will be finished)



So a new era are coming on the Tour? Or the players will be able to defend their points?
We will see ;)

A new event finished!

The Master 1000 tour on Battle Islands V finished!

Battle Island V was one of the big Master tournaments. Lots of points could be gained by performing well!

Congratulations to Rakleader. He wins the tournament and gains a nice 1000 points! Rakleaders current position is 6th. But he will rise thanks to this result. Very well done Rak!

Second place goes to ANT. ANT is currently 7th (right after Rak) and will also gain a nice points boost thanks to his great performance. Congrats to you as well, ANT!

The other players who made it to the semi-finals were Sultan Kosmitow and Alexander. They did a great job making it so far!
Interestingly, nobody out of the current top 5 finished very high. The best results came from Pana, Buns and Wini, who all went 2-1.

The top 16 ended up looking like this:


As we can see, both the Turtles and ONE! did a good job in this tournament.

A new event finished!

44. AWP World Tour - 500 Series - Poland

Congratulations to Arkanton for his third (!) Tour event win, nice job! It means +455 points after his previous +600 points from the last Masters. Slowly we can start speak about the big TOP7 ;)
This was an old-timer template where two old-timer players fought in the finals, they played at home, not because the old-timer thing above but because the Poland map too (both of them are Polish :D )
Congrats to Wini as well for the second place and the + 255 points!
Congrats to Hades and Edge too (both of them are very stable (good) on the Tour recently)

Congratulations to Reza for his first Tour event win! Always nice to see for me if an old schooler did a good performance just like here ;)
Congrats to Bjarke as well for his another finals. His performance recently better and better, the TOP10 soon for him!

Congratulations to rakleader for his 4th (!) Tour event win, which was his second consecutive Masters victory, very well done! With this he broke the rule of the Big Four, a new era are coming?

Monthly Tour Update - 06/2017
  • The TOP10 on the Tour after June:



    Pana is still the first position, already in the 6th consecutive months, amazing performance!
    He earned a 7-3 records in the last month and got 90 additional points.

    MIFRAN holds his second position, earned a 8-4 records and got 110 additional points.
    But unfortunatelly he is "heading towards retirement" :((((
    (he didn't join to the Old 1v1 Ladder Grand Slam where he is the title holder (which means -2000 points for him immediatelly after that new Grand Slam event will be finished))

    Buns holds his third position, earned a 4-2 records and got 90 additional points.
    He has got still the best win percentage (76%)

    rakleader is the man of the month!
    He earned a miraculous 19-3 records and got 2000 additional points! Very well done!
    With this marvelous performance he broke the rule of the Big Four, and got the 4th position (and so close to the second too)

    MoD earned a 2-4 records and got 45 additional points, but sunk one position.
    Because I did a mistake earlier in the Rankings (I counted GME III 500 Series event as a 250 Series event...) and now corrected, he technically got +250 points too in this month (I will correct the last two monthly rankings too)

    Wini earned a nice 14-4 records and got a very good 570 additional points, but still sunk one position, because of raklader's phenomenal performance. Although he closed to MoD (only 355 points difference)

    Arkanton earned a super 16-4 records and got an amazing 1055 additional points, and very closed to the TOP positions. Btw, he changed to his main account (from ANT of Turtle to Arkanton of Lynx), this is why you can see this name change.

    Hades earned a very good 15-5 records too and got a nice 500 additional points, and with these he raised to the 8th position, congratulations!

    Timinator earned a good 8-3 records and got a very nice 670 additional points, and he arrived to the TOP10 (although not yet any event win :P ;) )

    FlyingBender earned a 1-3 records and got 20 additional points, and sunk to the 10th position (but still in the TOP10).

  • Some additional good performance from outside of the TOP10.

    Pardon99 earned a very nice 13-3 records and got cool 680 additional points, and raised from the 115th to the 36th position. Very well done!

    Master Bjarke earned a very good 14-5 records and got nice 580 additional points, and raised from the 44th to the 26th position. Congratulations!

    Sułtan Kosmitów earned a 7-2 records and got 380 additional points, and raised from the 30th to the 25th position.

    INSIDE earned a 5-1 records and got 360 additional points, and raised from the 83th to the 48th position.

    Alexander earned a 5-1 records and got 360 additional points, and raised to the 64th position (he is new in the Rankings)

    Edge earned a 8-4 records and got 350 additional points, and raised from the 24th to the 17th position.

    Njord earned a 5-4 records and got 300 additional points, and raised from the 38th to the 32th position.

    Reza earned a 8-4 records and got 280 additional points, and raised from the 78th to the 54th position.

New event finished!

39. AWP World Tour - 250 Series - Great Lakes I - LFD

Congratulations to Rento for his first Tour event win! With these 250 points he won't be in the TOP50 yet :O (although he has got a nice QF from MA Grand Slam, so he will soon).
Congrats to rakleader for the final. It is "only" 105 additional points for him, but with these he can reach the third position (if Buns won't gain any points of course).

Pana has got a big lead! And what would be if he didn't boot so much during his "retiring" :O Seems the first position will change not recently. Btw, he has got 960 not counted points from ongoing events.

rakleader is already in the second position in this virtual ranking list! He has got 330 not counted points from ongoing events.

Wini is the 6th player who passed the 4k points! He has got 540 not counted points from ongoing events.

Timinator stepped forward again (overtook Hades) because he has got a nice 830 not counted points from ongoing events.

Master Bjarke is on the TOP10 (!) because he has got 1450 not counted points from ongoing events.

45. AWP World Tour - 250 Series - Macedonia No Split

Congratulations to Quicksilver for his second Tour event win!
2 event wins of 4 events, nice performance! Only MIFRAN and Pana was able to beat him so far, he has got 20-2 records! Even better if we count his two ongoing events: 29-2! 93% winning rate!
So very nice numbers, only problem they are worth "nothing" from Rankings points of view :P ;)
Congrats to Cowboy for the final! I can see more and more 101st players in the finals positions of the Tour events, nice!
And congrats to the two vetarans, INSIDE and CONQUISTADORS as well!

No, it isn't up to date. As I wrote I have a lot of backlogs in the Tour administrations :|

Btw, in the first post of this topic, you can check the last update times for everything, and the upper right corner of that doc you can see the last update time as well.
I update that doc once a month, in the beginning of the months (well, 18th is not the beginning, I know ;) )

Monthly Tour Update - 07/2017
  • The TOP10 on the Tour after July:

    Buns didn't play any of the finished events (so 0-0 records in July) and sunk one position.
    MoD earned a 0-1 records and got 0 additional points.
    Wini earned a 2-2 records and got a 0 additional points.
    Arkanton earned a 1-3 records and got 0 additional points.
    Hades earned a 5-2 records and got a 0 additional points.
    Timinator earned a good 4-1 records and got 45 additional points, breaking the 2000 limit.
    FlyingBender earned a 2-2 records and got 0 additional points.

    It was a very "boring" month regarding the TOP10, only the constantly rising rakleader is a story here, but that is a nice story, congrats m8!

  • So let's see some good performance from outside of the TOP10.

    Quicksilver earned a clean 6-0 records and got 250 additional points, and raised from the 15th to the 13th position. He won his second event, and he improved his already very nice winning records to 20-2. And some spoiler, because in the meantime he won his third events, and reached plus one more final, so his present record is 31-2! :O
    Very impressive, only problem that both two events are only 250 Series, so instead of making amazing winning records he should start to gain points from major events :P ;)

    JV earned a nice 7-2 records and got a cool 480 additional points, and raised from the 53th to the 30th position. Very well done!

    Rento earned a very good 6-1 records and got nice 250 additional points, and raised from the 98th to the 62th position. Congratulations!

    Love earned a nice 6-2 records and got 290 additional points, and raised from the 12th to the 11th position. Congrats for this another nice final!

    Cowboy earned a nice 5-1 records and got 150 additional points, and raised to the 111th position (he is new in the Rankings)

    ps earned a 4-2 records and got 160 additional points, and raised from the 16th to the 15th position.

    PJ017 earned a nice 4-1 records and got 160 additional points, and raised from the 29th to the 25th position.

    CONQUISTADORS earned a 5-2 records and got 110 additional points, and raised from the 80th to the 65th position.

    INSIDE earned a nice 4-1 records and got 90 additional points, and raised from the 48th to the 43th position.

    Rob earned a 5-3 records and got 70 additional points, and raised from the 20th to the 18th position.
