What if the only territories with any value on the map were the "throne" room territories? You could do something like every 3 territories captured is worth an additional 1 territory, like real risk, so once a person loses his/her throne, the base income drops enough so the person is no longer competitive? This would give incentive to not "camp" and also to attack other thrones; but it would also not completely unbalance the game if someone controls 2 throne rooms because you can still gain income via taking territories. Not sure if I explained that well.

sorry, typo in the above,

Here is my first completed king of the castle game

i started this before posting here. this was played with normal fog however after i started this i thought light fog would be better so you can monitor when castles have been taken
