Lately I encounter players with names like "Hitler" and "Arian Angel" and similar. Long live democracy but wtf?! I don't like this, though it is not easy or useful to restrict the name choice.

The problem is that different names would cause offence to different people. The range would be to vast. I personally have no problem with any names as they are often just for fun. It is more important how they behave during games.

Yes, Stalin was more of a monster by far than Hitler, who was merely insane, possibly meth addicted, and possibly syphilitic. Stalin coldly and rationally caused the deaths of millions and millions of people in the interests of securing and expanding his own power, and was certainly one of the most purely evil men in all of history. Hitler just needed to be on a psychiatrist's couch instead of at a podium haranguing his armies. If the extremely punitive treaty of Versailles hadn't purposefully crippled Germany's economy after WWI, setting up the weak and unstable Weimar Republic and the massive unrest and grinding poverty that led to Nazi power, the Holocaust and WWII might well have never happened.
