Everyone discusses politics...
Great problematic problem. Little compass here if anyone interested in having a thoughtful conversation about your beliefs. I have done it for a few years so I can remember how accurate my results were.

one year ago Luna made a thread discussing the same topic in which he directly was the first person to put a link to the political compass site. On that topic several arguments were made. I felt excited to see a comment of mine from a short time ago and wanted to make another thread like this. But this time I'll do it without preliminary questions and begin right to the point.

Questions:

What is your current political belief?
What was your political belief one year ago and what changed?
What is your strongest priority in politics now?

And 3 additional questions:

What country do you live in?
If elections were held today, what party would you vote for, and why?
Which political party or ideology do you fear the worst?

So.. as the host of this thread I'll respond these questions first by myself.

What is your current political belief?
apolitical. very low. I've little belief that a political system would be changed by my opinion rather than the interests of the politicians.

What was your political belief one year ago and what changed?
Not so much. The same. If not, satiricalism was my belief one year ago. I'd be taking political stances that were not mine but only to provoke controversy.

What is your strongest priority in politics now?
big international corporations monopolising and buying traditional Belgian companies in a way to take huge chunks of the market. It makes the Belgian economy more foreign then it is Belgian.

If elections were held today, what party would you vote for, and why?
I'd choose the Belgian liberal party and Maggie De Block! She's popular and iconic to represent the Belgian nation. She'd do a great job if elected minister of health but she already is. Her fat mass would block [pun intended] another great power of entering Belgium and save the world.

Which political party or ideology do you fear the worst?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_des_Francophones The UdF. a Francophone terrorist party

So... concerning about the fact that I haven't responded to the title of the thread. I'll do it anyway.

Above me is an image comparing the results of my political compass from 2015 with the one from 2016. I fairly stayed the same on most of the issues except on economy. Furthermore I tend to be more libertarian than I was one year ago. Smedley probably has helped me with this. my Senpai <3

Interesting. Any care to explain your political perspective, Cata? Or are you most likely to be apolitical just like me?

Well, I dont really care that much about politics, I just tried to answer the question as accurate as possible.

However I feel like that I should be 1-4 squares up to Authoritarian. I like a balance between statism and liberty. The state should definetly regulate stuff (Drugs, Internet, etc.) but also give us more freedom and less regulations in certain areas (Abortion, Mariage, etc).
As for economy, I definetely support freedom, however in reality big companies abuse that in a full scale and you can only prevent that with regulations as well. I also strongly support stuff like Health-care.

Political compass is awful, doesn't have enough options, asks gotcha questions and is primarily about what's happening not what you want to happen.

1.What is your current political belief?

Populist or Christian Socialist

2. What was your political belief one year ago and what changed?

It was more than a year ago, but I used to be both Fiscally and Socially Conservative, a typical Republican essentially. However, since then my views on economic policy have significantly shifted to the left. Some of my social issue beliefs have moderated slightly but are mostly the same.

3.What is your strongest priority in politics now?

Making sure everyone has fair access to healthcare and education, and ending non-emergency abortions.

4.What country do you live in?

United States

5.If elections were held today, what party would you vote for, and why?

I don't know. I'm frankly disgusted with both major parties.

6.Which political party or ideology do you fear the worst?

Nihilism. An ideology without moral inhibitions is capable of anything and everything. (There is no major party that advocates this, but the ideology exists in small numbers)
