Nixon won a historic electoral victory by sweeping the complete south, something very few Republicans did up until then. Bad part was he basically made the party trade the rest if the country for it
I assume you're not talking about his reelection where he literally won 49/50 states, in which he did indeed "sweep the entire south", although he also "swept the entire north" and "swept the entire west". Rather, I'd assume you're talking about his first election. Here is the map from that election:https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/41/ElectoralCollege1968.svg
The list of states that nixon lost is actually pretty impressive for someone who "swept the complete south":
This means that the only meaningful victories he achieved in the south were virginia, tennessee, Florida, and North carolina, none of which had been particularly solid parts of the "solid south" before this (see elections like 1956, 1952, and 1928), and even remain somewhat swingy today (see elections like 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2012).
The original Republican Party was the most radical extremist hard left majority to ever sweep the north up until the New Deal
The Republican party has never been Liberals in the sense that they you know, actually want to legalize more stuff. The republican party has always been focused on banning stuff, it's just that it's different stuff 150 years later.
Vote Johnson.....he will ban high school spelling tests
No offense honestly, but johnson pretty much smokes way too much weed to be any kind of effective president...
