NBC works well across the pond, but I'm not sure about Germany.

Also, Peter Joppich beat a French guy. Germany's in the top 16 male foil.

NBC is weak sauce. Use a VPN or proxy to grab a British IP address (ExpatShield used to do this perfectly but it ain't around anymore). The use BBC iPlayer- live coverage and saved footage for every event, with way less daft commentary that's not way too centered around one country.

BBC is by far the best I've found.

ARD is bloody annoying. their website is a mess. they dont show every event. and of course not every competition. and the most annoying thing is that they use every opportunity to turn the games into a soap, like: **look at those happy athletes they are crying - soo many feelings in this games. amazing.** or ** those poor refugees, lets tell their story** hours of
presentation ceremony, if that is everything that counts, but very poor and stupid comments during the competitions. that was basically why I asked for good alternatives. =/
