So I've had this project in mind for a while since I finished my afro eurasia map, but I only started on it a few weeks ago. I just passed 2 thousand territories, so I'm pretty confident in saying that I will definitely finish this one:

https://www.warlight.net/SinglePlayer?PreviewMap=57063

As you can see I haven't done a whole lot of naming yet, but if you see any spelling mistakes in what I have done be sure to let me know. And if you're interested in testing then awesome, I need a few people to help me out, so just let me know :)

I don't think there's much need for another haphazard world map, there's already several good maps for that. What I've been waiting for a long time though, is a world map where each land = 5 million.

I'll think about that for a future project. What I've found frustrating with those types of maps is that the world population is pretty much concentrated in a few pretty small areas, and there's just so much of the world with literally nobody living in it.

I just kind of felt like making it. Map development isn't really about making original stuff, it's about making what you enjoy making, and I'm definitely having a lot of fun with this project.

I like how you named each bonus/territory in its own language. Something you don't see as often as you should.

Russia and other areas in asia have way too many territories for what they are worth, plus this kind of map has been done many times before, but it is of very high quality.

on a side note, what is that green blob next to montenegro?

And what are the 3(?) white dots in North America for?

Also, can I put missing connections here and now, or should I wait?

Thanks, although only the superbonuses are actually transliterations of endonyms. The rest are english names.

The aim was to have as many territories as possible, not to have the actual power of countries. And yes, it has been done before, but mine will be the biggest, which makes it special.

That "blob" is Called kosovo :P. It was too small to get it's own territory, but as far as I'm concerned it's still not part of serbia.

And what are the 3(?) white dots in North America for?

They are there to break connections. For the most part I used this to prevent quadripoint borders. However, I also used it to prevent oklahoma from connecting to too many many other territories.

And yeah, totally let me know about missing connections. I will be clicking around and finding some after I fniish drawing all the territories, but I appreciate any little bit of help :)

Germany has it's name in German, but Switzerland and Austria not? That's not acceptable!

Also, I recommend connecting the Canaries and the Bahamas, if someone wants to play a colonial scenario on it. This looks like the perfect map for it.

*Looks at China and Siberia*
I personally find that a bad idea, since you would have to put dozens of such connection breakers all over the map.

By the way, you misspelled "Innsbruck" in Austria wrong.

Connections:

Arizona right under the bonus link (USA)
Eastern New Mexico into El Paso (USA)
Iceland right under the bonus link (Iceland)
Juba to the right/left of bonus link- should that be connected? Confusing (South Sudan)
Lviv below the bonus (Ukraine)
East American Pacific bottom right one

That's all I noticed. Keep up the good work, and don't let the h8rs keep you down :)

U seemed to have put quite some time and effort into this, however i personally think that there are to many of theese maps, also note u already have 2100 territories and u havent done oceania,indonesia,sub-saharan africa and south america, also if u got rid of antarctica u could increase the size of playable land and thusly u could incorporate kosovo and kaliningrad into play

No offense, but germany is big and austria and switzerland are tiny...

:P

But seriously, I am only putting endonyms for superbonuses.

They're mostly there to break quadripoint borders, now that I think about it I'm not really sure that one is necessary at the oklahoma panhandle. From what I can tell the only quadripoint borders on my map are in the US and canada, but be sure to let me know if you find any others.

By the way, you misspelled "Innsbruck" in Austria wrong.

Thanks, I got it fixed.

Yeah, I guess I didn't realize that it'd be hard to communicate broken connections without having territory names. But thanks, You explained the ones you found well enough :P

Fair opinion, although IMO there can never be too many of one map, since everyone brings their own interpretation to the concept.

I'll consider it, although I am actually planning to put at least some territories on antarctica.

I think this looks really nice. As others have said, there's not a massive demand for it, but that's no reason to give up IMO. Good work, Imperator!

EDIT: What happened to Scotland?

Thanks, I really appreciate it :)

Well, this is kind of awkward...

I kind of decided to make scotland independent as a sort of nod to ox, but he didn't seem all that excited about it to be honest :P

I know it's not fictional, but to be honest I do this kind of thing a lot when I'm making maps. Just a few more examples on the parts of the map I've completed already:

1. Nagorno-Karabakh

2. Crimea

3. Western Sahara

4. Palestine

5. Cyprus

6. Kosovo

7. Taiwan

And there's probably a lot more you can find if you jsut look around a bit. Scotland is really just the most visible of a long list of my geopolitical fantasies that leak over into my maps :P

You just have to make Warlight political lol
The difference between some of those in your list is a few show up here: https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/docs/flagsoftheworld.html

In my Crimea map that I'm making I won't mention either of the two countries and stay neutral :)
