Daily news from the Tour. The second event on the Tour has been created and filled in a few hours, just like the first event, despite the double size. Great :) Tourney link: https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=19469I would like to welcome another veteran Warlight star, Summer, on the Tour ;-) And the Tour gave her a gift, a nice game immediately in the first round against MoD :) It seems a very good fight, gl hf :) Most players (4) from the Turtles again, but there are players from 20 clans now! Nice :)

Hmm, it seems that the invitation method is not very clear for many people. Ok, it is not very simple, but I hope that sooner or later will be clear for everybody. I try to help you. I introduce a new feature for the most simplest way to join the Tour. - Permanent Wild Card request
You only have to write to me here or any other AWP topic or PM that you want to join in this way. After this you automatically will be on the Wild Card request list for every AWP World Tour events (until you write to me you would like to leave) It is not guaranteed that you will be invited, but you do everything what you can (I mean with the minimum effort, without understand the system :P).
And here are some details about the invitation method: - Irregular invitations in the beginning
Until there will be enough players on the Ranking List (100+ players with points (higher than 0)), I will use this invitation method, what means I will invite everybody who was invited to the previous event (here you can check the present invite list: https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=19469) If you are not in this list but would like to join, simple write to me here or any new event topics or PM (and write to me also if you are in the list but would like to leave).
- Regular invitation method
You can find it in the AWP World Tour topic, and will be more detailed after we will have reached this 100+ players threshold.
Finally, I try to explain how the invitation method works from the players' point of view: - Will be one AWP World Tour events in every week
- On every Monday will open a new topic for the actual weekly events (including all the details such as: when the tournament will be created, on which template, how many participants, etc.). These topics' names always will start exactly with the "AWP World Tour -" strings, so you can easy search them.
- The weekly tournaments will be created always on Wednesdays.
- So there will be 2 days for everybody to join (requesting Wild Card) to the actual weekly event, simple writing a post into this actual weekly event topic until Wednesday.
Or you can request Permanent Wild Card too of course (see above). Or if you understood the system, and know that you will be invited because your ranking list position (or the irregular way above) you do not have to do anything (but if not sure then preferably write a post it won't be problem :) )
- One event per weeks possible mean a lot of games for you, so you can plan your participation exactly, using the "Events" tab on this google spreadsheets: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ao0SlM6Kv6CE1-Ha5mBIrI6nj4Uft2lMaE25qbXxWHs You can find here the event schedules with all necessary info.
- Best practice if you try to join to all the major tournaments (one per months: 4 Grand Slam, 8 Masters in a year) and just as many smaller (500 and 250 Series) tourneys which games volume is not too much for you.
This is because you can gain the most points from the major events (especially from the 4 Grand Slam) and only your best six results will be counted from the 500 and 250 Series events (the possible maximum points from the smaller events is 3000 (six 500 Series tourney win) while you gain 2000 points if you win only one Grand Slam)
@Markus: you are in the actual invite list, because you were invited to the previous tourney (just you were too slow to join :P or simple did not want to join to that tourney ;) )

Don is sitting on the top present (congrats!), but many good players are climbing the mountain.
- AWP World Tour - 250 Series - Guiroma
https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=19365 Left only 3 games. Don, the Turtle Killer (in the first two rounds he defeated two Turtles), is already in the final, and 3 Turtles are fighting in the other bracket side for the opportunity to revenge on their fellows :)

https://www.warlight.net/Forum/162654-awp-world-tour-250-series-treasure-map I am wonder, how many new players will join to the Tour with this event. One thing is sure, they have to be very fast to joining because the veterans always join very quickly :)
- And here are the veterans who joined to all Tour events (3) so far:
- master of desaster
- Don [ Ω ]
- ANT
- Muli
- 13CHRIS37
Special highlighting Don, because he was the first who registered to the first event (he was the first who understand the invitation system at all :) ) AWP World Tour - 500 Series - Battle Islands V https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=19469 Welcome the first 500 Series semifinalist, fireice82! Weekly Tour News - Week 26th - 2nd Edition for more details check the Event tab of the google docs link above The templates for the 500 and 250 Series events will be decided monthly, in the previous months by the community. In practice, this means that the first days of every months I will open a topic where the community can propose templates for the two (or three) 250 and the one 500 Series events in the next month. And the end days of the months I will pick up 3 (or 4) from them and register them in the google spreadsheet as the following 500 and 250 Series events.
But the major events (4 Grand Slams, 8 Masters) should be decided now. I have made a 25-piece template list from which I will choose the templates of the 12 major events, please help me find the best ones. See more: https://www.warlight.net/Forum/161829-awp-world-tour-template-polling

Weekly Tour News - Week 27th - 2nd Edition - AWP World Tour - 500 Series - Battle Islands V
https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=19469 Only 3 games left from the first 500 Series events. The Krzysztof vs. Tac(ky)tical quarterfinal is in progress. MoD is waiting for the winner of that game in the semifinal, and fireice82 is waiting for his opponent in the final. The winner of this event will get the first position in the Ranking List for a while, good fight for it :)
- AWP World Tour - 250 Series - France LD
https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=19569 Slow progress here, but no surprise about a LD tourney :) 1 game finished, Muli defeated Super Smoove and reached his first quarterfinal, congrats!
- AWP World Tour - 250 Series - Treasure Map
https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=19653 Krzysztof won his quarterfinal game againts ANT too, congrats his another semifinal. DanWL beaten KKND, but in the quarterfinal he lost against MIFRAN, who reached the semifinal in his first event, congrats!
- AWP World Tour - 500 Series - Strategic Greece
https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=19737
- As I expected, the tourney filled very fast, in 2 hours.
I am considering that I will increase the 500 Series events field from 32 to 64 players, adding a qualification round to it (for 10 points), same like for the 250 Series events (from 16 to 32). 64 players is very high, but we will see :) (it means 12 events per year btw)
- 9 new players (JV, timon92, Nackickwind, Onoma94, ❤HankyPinky, Ollie, vicnus, Platinum, {rp} GeneralGror) joined to the Tour, welcome! Already 55 players joined.
- There are 3 players who joined to all Tour events (5) so far: MoD, ANT and Don [ Ω ], they never sleep :P
- Already 4 games finished, and PanagiotisTheGreekFreak already reached the quarterfinal! Nice!
It seems home court (Greece map :D ) really is an advantage to him ;-)
- Lack of tourney seeding possibility, there are a few tough games already in the first round.
For example, the game of two newcomers, JV vs. timon92 is a hard one. But the toughest imo, the Mod vs. Buns one! Not only because they are both top3 ranked players in the Tour, but if you check their part in the bracket, you can see that the opponents of the winner of that match can be Beren Apex, Krzysztof and a GG players on the way to the final. Hard way, just like the Spain vs. Italy pairing and bracket in the EURO2016 :D
The present TOP10 on the Tour:
Rank Player Total points Tourney still in/all
1 fireice82 300 1/1
2 Buns157 295 2/3
3 Krzysztof 270 4/4
master of desaster 270 4/5
5 ANT 180 2/5
PanagiotisTheGreekFreak 180 1/3
FlyingBender 180 0/1
8 Don [ Ω ] 150 2/5
9 Botanator 90 1/3
MIFRAN 90 2/2
Tac(ky)tical 90 1/1
Wini 90 1/3
INSIDE 90 0/1
mm3100 90 0/1
Still fireice82 is the first place but a very tough trio are chasing him! They are within 30 points, so the different only one won match. These 4 players have a point advantage to the others but that does not mean anything, because the major events (with huge obtainable points) are coming!
You can find here the full Ranking List: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ao0SlM6Kv6CE1-Ha5mBIrI6nj4Uft2lMaE25qbXxWHs

Weekly Tour News - Week 28th - 2nd Edition - AWP World Tour - 500 Series - Battle Islands V
https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=19469 No progress. All that remains is the Final (MoD vs. fireice82), but both player are on holiday at present :)
- AWP World Tour - 250 Series - France LD
https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=19569 No progress. But the Buns vs. rakleader game can be a tough one, it is in Turn 16 :O
- AWP World Tour - 250 Series - Treasure Map
https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=19653 CHRIS defeated Pushover in the quarterfinal but after he lost against MIFRAN (GG>Apex>Master ;-) ), who reached his first final, and he is still unbeaten with a nice 6-0 records on the Tour! Btw only 4 games remained, but all of them waiting for the end of MoD's holiday.
- AWP World Tour - 500 Series - Strategic Greece
https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=19737 My prediction was perfect about the path to the final of the winner of the MoD vs. Buns Derby :) Beren will be the first, then Krzysztof in the quarterfinal and a GG player (Ollie or MIFRAN) in the semifinal, and Timon in the final (newer prediction :) ). Well, it is a very exciting but very long and hard (viable? :O) path :D But first question, who will win the Derby? MoD (Federer :)) or Buns (Murray :))? Well, we have to wait the end of MoD's holiday (here too :P) to obtain the answer. MoD, we miss you so much :D
- AWP World Tour - 250 Series - French Brawl
https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=19839
- The event filled in 8 hours, which better than the previous one (in 2 hours) but still not enough long. I mean, the ideal would be 24+ hours, so players from every time zone would have similar chance to join. But this 32 players field for 250 Series events is ok now, imo.
- 8 new players (Swisster, Mirage, Semicedevine, MarkusBM, USA Biches, Jackie Treehorn, Hunta, Muten Rōshi) joined (63 players joined so far).
Welcome on the Tour!
- Still 2 players who joined to all Tour events (6): ANT and Don [ Ω ]
- Already 2 games finished.
MIFRAN defeated MarkusBM, Muli defeated Jackie Treehorn. Congrats them!
The present TOP10 on the Tour:
Rank Player Total points Tourney still in/all
1 master of desaster 390 4/5
2 Krzysztof 360 4/5
3 fireice82 300 1/1
4 Buns157 295 3/4
5 MIFRAN 250 3/3
6 ANT 180 2/6
PanagiotisTheGreekFreak 180 2/4
Tac(ky)tical 180 1/2
FlyingBender 180 0/1
10 Don [ Ω ] 150 1/6
Krzysztof is already in the second position, and he has got a very nice 8-1 record on the Tour so far. MIFRAN collected points too, and approaching to the TOP4.

I would suggest doing a combination of MD and RT tournaments, as RT requires you to think on your feet more.

Thanks for doing this Ekstone. I have a suggestion for how you portray the top 10 which I think would make the information clearer, at least to me.
Instead of having the tourney still in/all column, have the players won/lost ratio like you describe in your review, and then have a third column with number of events a player has won. It is essentially the same information but would make it easier for me to visualise.
Keep up the good work.
