The new single player levels (which are great) brought something to my attention. Whilst playing Level 5, "Hard to get," I noticed something oddly familiar.
It is practically a copy (and rotated) and I received no credit for this. I honestly don't know if I should feel good or angry, but either way, I still want to be given some credit.
Yes, but a different version. He must have re-uploaded it. On the preview pages, check the map's ID's and their upload dates. (Those are for that current map version.) If we could find earlier versions of his map we would know for sure.
Sorry for the double post. And thanks for the link. It's all right to take inspiration from other maps, obviously, but to downright copy without permission is not all right.
Definetly Ra's map based on yours but its not the same just similar. It seems he took your island shape and redraw another smaller map from it. Maybe a "thanks to NinjaNic for inspiration" sign missing but I think its not a theft cause its a new map.
Your map was good enough to stimulate Ra to make a similar one this is eventually an appreciation.
He obviously used your map as template for a new map, which is odd, because it is very simple, fictional design. He could have easily made an entirely new map. But I wouldnt be too upset about it. It could also be a sign of appreciation towards your maps.
