Hey, does anyone want to help me start a Confederate-themed clan? I have a few ideas but if I'm going to start a clan I'd like to start with a few people already on board to make it more successful.

So here are a few of my ideas:

-Icon can be the Virginia Battle Flag

-We can have branches like the Confederate Army, Navy, and Marine Corps and ranks for each branch

-Only true American Southerners will be allowed to join

-ABSOLUTELY NO SJWS

1. You might attract more than just "true American Southerners" to your clan. Will you really turn them away? As long as you have their buy-in with whatever your clan philosophy is going to be, take them in.

2. To some people, the confederate south represents states rights, fierce independence, and an indomitable spirit. To others, the confederate south represents racism and slavery. Screen potential members very carefully to make sure you're not accidently attracting racists. Once that stink is on your clan, it can be very difficult to clean it up again. Look to the German themed clans to see how hard it is to move past that once those accusations are in the air.

@Dr Stupid - I would argue that if he only wants "true American Southerners", that screening potential members like you suggested is the only way he can recruit people who might not try to tear into him. :p

We're talking about a forum troll here. I don't know why people find it necessary to explain why it's a bad idea when that's something you could take for granted at this stage.

Nothing against the idea of the clan, sounds good.... I have real problems with it being exclusive though.
Perhaps Castle would explain the reasoning behind that?
