I don't really see how we "need" diversity. There are countries with less diversity that function just as well as we do. I'm not against diversity, it's fine if we have it. But I don't understand this "need" to somehow force diversity into place. I couldn't give a crap whether a town is 95% white or 25% of four different races. All the same to me.

Other than that, I agree with you for the most part. If it's Trump vs. Sanders, I'm voting Sanders. If it's Clinton vs. Cruz, I'm voting Cruz.

I honestly don't know. I'd have to sit down and really think that one out. However, I'd be happy with either result even if I ended up voting for the loser.

It's probably a pipe-dream but Cruz vs. Sanders would be the most ideal result for this election. (Or Kasich, I could vote for him too, but I feel like he's about totally irrelevant at this point)

@Jai, it's hard to blame the left on the relative decline of the american power on the world. I'd blame bush and the interventions on the middle east. It showed the world that america wasn't that strong, after the "defeat" of the Soviet Union, and that the US were beatable.

@TeamGuns: I don't think Jai was saying that the left's diversity push is what made American decline. He was saying that we still managed to be a superpower prior to that, and thus diversity isn't a requirement for a strong country. (It's not a bad thing, but not necessary either)

No I didn't. If I wanted to say diversity was the reason for the suicide of a superpower I would have said explicitly: the left's push for diversity caused the economic, military, and cultural decline of the United States. Since I didn't say that, you can't say I did.

What I simply meant is that increasing diversity shouldn't be a policy that the US government actively pursues. Public colleges shouldn't care about race when accepting students. Businesses shouldn't care about gender or race when hiring employees. Organizations and NGOs shouldn't care about advancing the status or power or wealth of certain races or groups. The US government shouldn't be actively bringing in immigrants from countries that have non-white majorities. Employments, college acceptance, and immigration status should be based solely on merit and skills. Meritocracy should be the goal, and not diversity.

That's why diversity is good.

If some couldn't realize, I was refering to Racial diversity. You know, couple blacks over there, few Mexicans, some white people, maybe some Asians and Native Americans...That's what we need, religious diversity is important as well, because, you know, that's why people came to the US in the first place.

No, your economy will grow greatly worse with all the public spending that's going to come if he gets what he wants - much cheaper universities, basically a one-payer full free healthcare system, raising the tax rates on the wealthier even more. Clinton is for welfare, but she is also for drug-testing as eligibility for welfare, and those on welfare have to work. Sanders is for neither - no drug testing, no working. Oh, also, raising the minimum wage.

1% worked hard to get their money, and they are working - otherwise they'd lose it before long. But you just want to greedily steal other folks' rewards since you're not doing as much work or businesship, and be lazy. And recall: debt is 100% by choice, if you get yourself in debt, you have noone else but yourself to blame. Don't expect the government to help you with a problem that's going to waste everyone else's money who had nothing to do with it just for a mistake you made.
