I've just been offered an invitation to AOE clan, and I'm wondering what the opinions are on whether or not I should accept, or if I should look elsewhere. I am very competive, enjoy team work, and online 5-6 times a day (mobile) and am yet to join a WARlight clan. Let me know your opinions

I may be a bit biased, but I think AOE is a great option. We have a growing number or good players, and a good, active group. We focus on diplo/roleplay, but guys like Quetz,J willy, and Lisa :) (not a guy, but you know what I mean) mean you can learn a lot. Hope you join!

I'm not really sure of what you want, so I've taken a quick look on your stats, from what I've seen you don't meet yet the requirements to join top strategic clans.

AOE is more of in Diplomacy/Custom games, if it's what you're looking for, of what I've heard, it's not a bad choice for you.

But if you prefer the strategic play, as I said you can't enter the most selective clans yet, but there's a few intermediary clans better then AOE that you could apply using your teamgames stats.

If you want join better clans, I'd recommend you to:
- Have a boot rate smaller then 10%
- Get your score in 1v1s higher then 50%, maybe play a few more teamgames to raise your game count on those
- Join the ladder and get a 1500-1600ish rating

I agree with others. AOE is more of a diplo clan, and you seem to be looking for strategic gameplay, I don't think they would be a good fit for you. Also, you don't really have the stats to join a top strategic clan yet either.

You should challenge Great Expanse (profile link: https://www.warlight.net/Profile?p=9935521502 ) to a game and tell him you are interested in joining Hydra. As long as you're cool, I'm sure he'll send you an invite after playing and talking with you a bit.

Hydra is pretty relaxed, there's a few players like me who enjoy the game but don't really put a lot of work into it to get better, so we're not super good. And there's more than a few really good players in the clan (some with their alts) who would enjoy teaching you if you decide to put in the work to get better. What I like about it most of all is the internal competition we do. Both in a formal P/R League that's just about to start and also just random stuff like 'hey is anyone and want to do a quick rt?' 'yeah sure, you're going down'

You could also join the EIC. It may not be a prominent nor relevant clan but it is casual and meant for both Diplomacy and Strategy players... We also hold tournaments to improve upon a player's skill and have a few experienced players who would be more than willing to show you the ropes and certain skills that could do you good in both Diplomacy and Strategy.. Depending on what you like and feel like learning about!

Yeah you seem like a bitter fit for Hydra or CORP if you like competitive play. Not too sure about CORP since their strengths seem to be more on the 1v1 side but they do have a good bit of team gaming as well.

You probably want a clan that actually competes in Clan League and gets decent results- so Division A or B if you can get into one or a solid performer in Division C or D.

I'll add a comment here, I think I'm neutral enough to do it.

If Hydra is willing to take you, it's one of the best clans you could possibly enter with your current level of skill, at least in the strategic side of it. There's a few good players there that can help you to improve a lot.
