It seems every week a new college protest starts. And I ask myself, truly, what is this cancer?

Colleges are places created for an advanced education, to teach you, to prepare you for the world. It's a very important part of many people's lives.

Yet such learning doesn't seem to be happening anymore. The student groups don't seem to want college to be a place of learning, but rather a place of skewed, twisted ideals of equality.
A female protester at Yale University, one of the best (and priciest) colleges in the whole United States, describes this best:
"It's not about creating an intellectual space! It's about making a home here!". Similar problems have happened at the University of Missouri, to the point where staff are not allowing recordings of the protests. and you know who I'm talking about.

When people are getting degrees in "Advanced Feminist Studies", "History" is demanded to be changed to "Hxstory", and a "Western Civilizations" teacher is bombarded with hate, you begin to wonder whether this is the kind of place you want thousands of dollars to go into.

And like any radical movement, the radicals now turn on each other. at Missouri, black protesters demanded the group be separated by race, and pretty much kicked out many non-black protesters.
And some members now decide to turn on people who would be considered the kind of people these protesters would try to defend.
As such incidents increase across US colleges, antisemitism is on the rise. Because nothing says campaigning for equality than hating Jews.

I'm honestly not sure at this point what will happen. If these people succeed, places meant for learning won't have that much learning going on. But rather a form of education which makes everyone "equal".

They'll be poor idiots, go get a blue collar job, many of those and the wage is rising.

Just another sign America is over the hill.

It's bad enough I have to sell my soul to college, but when I see this type of sh*t going on, I think to myself, "Most people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them."

People that are white, male, or conservative (both professors and students) should tread on eggshells while at college, if they [SJWs, BLM, Feminists] get a hold of you they can ruin your life.

Colleges are becoming political echo chambers.

also it's starting to seem that collages aren't even a place of higher learning, just learning as everyone and their brother goes to college now, because idk i guess Educators are trying to get everyone to go to college.

This would exacerbate current problems with colleges and universities. Its simple supply and demand.

Currently there is a supply glut of college kids, as in there are too many college applicants and too few seats available in selective private and public colleges and universities. To make public education free on demand would have the effect of increasing the number of college applicants without increasing the number of available seats. Each available seat a a public university like UC Berkeley or Rutgers University would be that much more valuable and the competition for each seat in every new class of students would be that much greater. The total effect would be to increase the benchmark for acceptance to public universities - GPAs would have to be higher, SAT and ACT scores would have to be higher, extracurricular activities would have to be more prestigious and numerous, the quality and quantity of internships would increase. All this would have the sum effect of forcing those from poorer school districts out of the public universities and potentially increasing the wealth gap. If this happens, then the government will move to public university quotas based on race which will effectively discriminate against whites, asians, and wealthy minority groups.

Education should not have a narrative, it should deal in the objective truths.

In a sort of funny irony, these liberal universities have become victim to their own curriculum. If you tell students they can be offended by everything and they can silence whoever offends them, then you make the university itself a target of the students.

All you who are complaining are total idiots. This is hardly a problem, or maybe you should go to King Abdulla Petroleum University? Some accredited university geology graduates in Pakistan are taught that earthquakes are brought about through the black hearts of evil folk. And you complain about some idiots. If you don't like it, though, in America, the problem is not very big since you can go somewhere else. I'll even give you some English-speaking starters.
