1) Ladder 1v1 settings, adjust number of wastelands to suit the bigger map (11x10)
2) Getting rid of the reinforcement card and changing it to 0% SR or WR is an option too
3) Purpose: A lazy way to make a template. Fizzer does this all the time with Seasonal templates.

1) Settings: 5 starts of 4, unpicked warlords become armies of 3, no cards, 16% WR (should be 0% SR/WR)
2) Bonus Values: 3 territories = 1 army, 4t=2a, 5t=2a, 6t=3a, 7t=3a, 8t=4a, 9t=4a, 10t=5a, 11t=5a, 12t=6a
3) Purpose: Europe 1v1s are too long and the map is too big. By making big bonuses less attractive, the map becomes smaller, incomes are reduced, and enemies are more likely to fight each other instead of focusing on expansion. Adding 1-2 spy cards might also make games quicker.

7 Card European Hold 'Em (May-June 2012)

1) Purpose: (a) A new type of strategic template: 7 cards are given to start the game, the cards are visible to each player (history shows when cards are played, remaining cards are known). (b) Open up the picking (adjusted bonuses) but keep games relatively quick for a larger 1v1 map (3 spy cards: winning strategies are more decisive, games end sooner).
