Basically, yeah. $15 is a few movie tickets (~6-7 hours of entertainment), a couple of pizzas (sustenance for a couple of days or sustenance for a meal w/ a party aka 2-3 hours of entertainment), some electronics components (~10-12 hours of entertainment), etc.; if a WL clan has competing value, might as well go for it, eh?
It's not like the opportunity cost is the ability to not starve to death. One of the nice things about living in a country where the civil war ended more recently than 2007.
