I have been thinking of setting up a book club thread or game ( a game that would not be start would be easier for if new people joined ) basically I suppose we would just all pick a book to read and then read it and discuss it.

Anyone willing to start this with me or have thoughts?

That's not a bad idea, actually. But yeah, depends on the book.

Well, it would be an ongoing thing so we would start a new book once we finished the old one. Besides, the entire point of a book club is to widen your knowledge and intresets on other subjects

i have 4 credits to an audiobook that i have to use in the next few days. So the new book would have to be available as an audiobook. One book i'll get for sure will be "The end of faith" by Sam Harris. So if anyone is interested in reading it we can discuss it after. I'm also buying "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change" by Stephen R. Covey

I have only read two chapters of "Guns, Germs, and Steel" and would love to finish it. It's a very good and informational read of Geography and Anthropology. I recommend it if nobody has read it, yet.

I'm down as long as there's no politics/religion/self-help stuff involved. I'm a big sci-fi fan so my suggestion would be Leviathan Wakes or Dune to start with.

Huh... My dad just read that book. Odd coincidence.

If I'm gonna join, everyone must have read Game of Thrones.

I'll join if I own the book. For the first one pick something everyone is likely to have, like Harry Potter or LOTR.
