People are jealous that the Jews are so successful. No matter what happens, they move on and become wealthy, influential, upstanding citizens wherever they are. If you look at history, they very well seem to be God's chosen people, small in number but incredibly determined and resilient.

EDIT: That and the fact Mohammed ordered all Muslims to hate them and called them pigs, apes, etc. There are a LOT of Muslims who follow his lead and hate Jews.

Jews are a race. They are a Semitic people. Not all Jews are Semites, or all Semites Jews, but Jew is a race.

Progressives have become friends with Islamists. Islamists hate Jews. Therefore, progressives have started excusing anti-Semitism if not outright supporting it. Progressives control the mainstream media, so the mainstream media starts telling people stuff like that anti-Semitism is an understandable response to Israeli politics. That said, hating Muslims is not OK because of Iranian or Saudi politics.

EXAMPLE:

The Nordes are a ' race ' of people. They are divided into ethnic groups just like any other race of people. We have Danes, swedes, germanics, ect.
