I despise nationalism. Nationalism is a cancer which needs to be destroyed. We should have finished off the Nazis.
Also, I make a destinction between nationalism and patriotism. Nationalism is a fanatical superiority complex due to one's nation. Patriotism is the loyalty one feels to his/her land or country, and is only healthy in moderation. A country without any patriotism is doomed.

Patriotism causes Nationalism. In its most extreme forms it leads to ethnic conflict. I support a one world government in which nationalism exists, yet it is worldwide and constant throughout: human. However, this is far from plausible in our current state. "let it be" i guess, anyway, Colonel is just creating an opponent for himself.

I believe the order of succession in terms of fervor and intensity is:
Patriotism < Chauvinism < Nationalism
I support a one world government in which nationalism exists, yet it is worldwide and constant throughout: human.
