Elaborated in detail. Brilliant!

However the map seems to cover only a sole part of the screen and not whole of it.
You can change this by adjusting the size of your svg in inkscape by going to "Document Proprieties".
The only sidenote here is that you might will lose some detail on your WarLight map designer tool after uploading.

I don't see any bad connections... I would like some serious explanations about how you chose each bonus. I am not familiar with this method...

Hey guys -- I will start the games within the hour I think. Thanks for the positive feedback and interest. Over the last day, when I had some free time I ended up on a long hunt to locate the new planets in the 'The Force Awakens' -- I finally was able to locate three and put them on this map in their correct location. They will be joining Lothal (from 'Rebels') which I correctly located a few months ago.

Belgian Gentleman, thanks for the note on the centering of the map. I noticed this a few weeks ago, and though I have attempted to correct it, it has been to no avail. Although, if I am unable to change it, I am willing to accept that, given that players have the option of zooming in and out, and will be unlikely to be completely zoomed out for any significant length of the game.

meowing_panda, I appreciate your going over it to check. I will try to explain a little, as you seem to be curious. As for the choosing of the bonuses and the structuring of the map, a very large part of it was based on 'The Essential Atlas' and Star Wars lore. In the Star Wars universe, hyperspace lanes connect planets, and if you deviate from those courses you could very well die because space is vast and may have unknown dangers along unsafe paths. The most safe lanes are the giant trade routes -- what I sometimes refer to as 'highways' -- and they allow players to zip from one location to another with ease and quickness. I decided to include them, not only to be faithful to the universe, but also to add another dimension to the game. As Lord of Turnips astutely pointed out, connecting lanes have lots of strategic value in this map -- just as in the Star Wars universe. I also quickly discovered that when done correctly, the lanes approach could make for a very visually appealing map.

As for why the map isn't gigantic with many hundreds or thousands of territories, the honest answer is personal preference. I don't enjoy playing such vast games and I find my enjoyment and strategic value is increased with medium sized games, which is what this is. I have a similar feeling with the idea of gigantic circular galaxy maps, with lots circles and systems. I don't prefer that way and its visually kind of chaotic and unstructured in gameplay, as well as being very, very hard to implement in a map like this. With that said if someone wants to make that map I would look forward to the result!

I've attempted to include all the main planets from all the movies as well as many significant planets from the EU. There are distribution/scenario modes for every significant era of Star Wars, and cool little things I put in there that should appeal to Star Wars fans of every persuasion and era. Tiny little details that might appeal to those who look and/or are deep-divers of SW lore. :P I loved the notion of adding the ships, which was suggested to me by the user Franco8807 (who also generously helped with the stars, as well as providing helpful feedback to balance the map), and I felt it was important for each fleet to have its own little block of ships, in some cases very detailed. Other bonuses in the map are put together by universe value -- for example, the Rebel Alliance bonus has Endor, Koda Station, Hoth, and Bespin in it, and there's no mystery why. Other times I added bonuses for balance but always based on accurate SW lore.

In any case I could answer more questions but that's the gist. It was a lot of work making this map but a lot of fun. I've tested a good many times with other users and AI, just amongst myself, and things get very interesting. :P In some cases this map provides for different gameplay than other warlight maps I have played in the past. As long as distribution is accurately followed the game is very balanced. With Star Wars music in the background it's even better.

Now, I will create the test games very shortly!

Cata, I didn't say that you are the same cat, i just said that you are both cats from Austria and are likely to have similar views on the subject. However, I will have a different view to anyone else since I am the only Australian vegetable testing this map.

Also, meowing_panda, I should add, about the bonuses -- I decided early on, based on experience of playing another map like this, to give each planet its own bonus. Most individual planets will get you a bonus of 2 troops per turn each, while most fleet ships will get you 1 troop each (though the 501st Legion is 2 per turn). There are some exceptions, notably these, which are 3 army bonuses per-turn: Bastion, Corellia, Csilla, Dathomir, Death Star II, Endor, Eriadu, Hapes, Hoth, Jakku, Mandalore, Millennium Falcon, Mon Calamari, Naboo, Nal Hutta, Rogue Squadron, Slave One, Tatooine, Trade Federation Blockade, Vector Prime, & Yavin 4. The capital of the galaxy, Coruscant, is worth 4 armies per turn. It's all rather subtly and evenly dispersed but there nonetheless!
