Sure, they've got a golden generation of players right now, but I think you're throwing your money away as they're not quite at the same level as the very top teams like Germany. Belgium will probably go out in the quarter-finals, but that's depending upon the draw.

They reached the quarterfinals of the 2014 World Cup and only lost 1-0 to Argentina. And when you think about it that was the first major international tournament that group of players experienced. They'll go into Euro 2016 with more confidence, better group cohesion, more experience, and arguably a lower quality of opponents. I think its a fair bet but may not be the best.

So? They've got the experience of playing in the top European leagues at club level, which they also had in 2014. Also, they didn't exactly have a strong group (Russia, Algeria and South Korea) and they only beat the USA in extra time in the 2nd round. They became stuck once they played a top team and Argentina could have easily scored more than 1 goal.

The quality of teams in UEFA is much stronger than those in other confederations. There hasn't been a World Cup final without a European team since 1950. Sure, you don't have to play Argentina or Brazil, but you also don't have to play teams as weak as Cameroon, Iran or Honduras.

Benteke is growing into form under Klopp...I think he has 4 goals for the season and this should pick up with the pressing-attacking football Klopp wants. Hazard is having a horrible time...scoreless in 25 games straight now. Kompany has just had injury problems...that's not to say he's not a world class defender. Also I think you forget how deep the Belgium national team is. They have total market value of 434 million euros according to Transfermarkt and boast a bench that includes: Michy Batshuayi, Simon Mignolet, Mousa Dembele, Yannick Ferreira Carrasco, Christian Benteke, Divok Origi, Dries Mertens, Nacer Chadli, and Marouane Fellaini. Maybe the only thing they lack is good defensive reinforcements. Also I think you forget that 6 out of the top 10 International Teams are European and all have qualified for Euro 2016.
