Don't quite a few people theorise that operation unthinkable would have ended with the western allied pushed out of Europe leading to a fierce war with the US that could be one by them if they had the will to fight.
Could operation Sealion ever have worked?
Also has anyone seen the film Threads it's about escalating cold war tensions leading to nuclear war. Then has an hour of odd scenes; like people being sick and hiding in there houses. A basement under a municipal administration building that's built to look after the city in nuclear war but the entrance and wedged by rubble and the film never mentions them again. It also shows people eating a rad poisoned sheep and other weird shit It's very much worth a watch (sorry I went on a super tangent)
