Fizzer has said this is because of the smaller amount of 3v3 teams, it would be much easier to get the trophy therefore it wouldn't be such an achievement.
I'm sure there will be one in the future though.

It isn't due to less teams, it is due to fact that most teams are unranked because they haven't finished the 10 promotion games. It is done to discourage what happened in the Real-Time ladder when it was released where x (the apex player) played the first games as quickly as possible (probably surrendering them all during picks) and got a trophy simply for being 1st and only player to be ranked.

I was under the impression that he did it, got a trophy and then it was stripped from him because of the way he gamed the system. And that following x's little game Fizzer changed it to wait a while for the ladder to settle before releasing trophies. However this is simply things I've heard, I'm pretty sure the RT ladder was released during 1 of my many breaks from the game, so these aren't things I know for sure.

You're also under the impression that x was the first ranked, someone beat him to it, but had a 1400 rating due to surrendering a lot, while x had a 1600 rating or so because he did actually win some games.

Well it would seem from that thread that what I thought was true. The screenshot is enough to satisfy me, you could check his past games as well on RT ladder.
