Again areas with larger % of gun owners have less crime. People will get guns regardless. They'll get one on the black market, through a gun show or they'll have a friend or family member get them a gun.

Illinois, a state with the some of the strictest laws on guns also has the highest crime rates as compared with states with open carry that have some of the lowest crime rates. And despite the amount of shooting that occur in America, there are surprisingly low rates of casualties compared to the France bombing (which I do believe could have been prevented with even just one person with concealed carry and a .22 or .45)

Banning or limiting guns DOES NOT stop criminals from obtaining them, it only limits the honest citizens from protecting themselves.

Gun control has very little to no effect on the actual crime rate, there's too many other factors. To think limiting gun access will reduce crime is relying on the assumption that criminals can't easily get guns from elsewhere.

Also, the chances of police/military being on hand at the precise time of a terrorist attack is very low. It often falls on nearby citizens to stop an attack before it begins, but they can't do that if they don't have the means.

Just because someone is generally undesirable and offensive doesn't mean that they are always 100% wrong. It's possible to disagree with someone's general motives but still admit there is a small truth behind some of the things they say.
