The current one in open games was made in February. Has anyone ever played in one of them?

Fizzer showed us 2 games of that size in a stream i believe. It's a while now. I'm not sure about the second player, but i think no mercy was involved. Maybe the second one was gnuffone?

I think the largest played were for 10k coins. As far as I know only me, gnuffone and nomercy played in those games and there were maybe 4 of them in total. Some other players played in it for transfer purposes. I have not heard of or seen anyone playing a game worth >10k coins.

An entry fee of 9900= a prize of 17820. That's what he meant i believe. No game with an entry fee of 17820.

Yes, winning the game makes you 17820 coins richer than if you had lost.

That sounds quite a bit too much money, especially given the fickle nature of many 1v1 Strat games.

The rake % for highstakes games is ridiculus, I don't know why Fizzer think it is appropriate to keep the rake at a flat rate of 10% for any stakes (Is he a fan of Ben Carson?).

10% is already too much as it is for low stakes, and is ridiculus at high stakes. As you move up in the stakes, people have a higher level. And as the level get higher, it becomes virtually impossible to have such an edge on your opponent that you would have a positive winrate on the long run due to the 10% rake. So really no incentive to grind the coin games. I play a few low stakes games for fun, but unless Fizzer bring the rake down to 6-7% on low stakes and degressive to say 4% at high stakes, i won't consider grinding coin games. The expected value i get from playing them is probably about null, or barely positive at low stakes and definitely negative at higher stakes, due to the rake being so high (and my level of course). With this rake %, you need to have a winrate of 56% just to break even, and i doubt that anyone playing at 17k stake have such an edge over the highstakes field that would allow him to have a winrate of 60%+ on the long run and therefore barely justifying playing these kind of stakes
