I have never said La Castilla or La España, that grammar makes my eyes bleed hahaha. However, La Mancha or La Rioja are even in current regions' official name.

I'd prefer regional lands inside Castile being spelt in their native languages than seeing "Urchel" or "Chirona", so yes, you could name it "Asturies" instead of "Asturias".

And, I'm pretty sure Huesca lies inside, as all the current Province of Huesca lies inside the territory.

Well, whatever, doesn't matter here anyway. He said he's going to use the game's names. I suppose I was wrong...

but really, you can't say la Castilla or la España? Maybe in Old Castillan, you could? Since in French (and I think in Italian, too), you do have to have the article before all countries except Israël.

Just a quick question, are you basing the bonus values on development or base tax?

The bonus values are the base development devided by three with things like trade centeres on gold adding to the value.

Maybe give bonuses for centers of trade in trade regions?

No, proper nouns can't have article (although there are some exceptions, like, El Salvador, La India, La China (archaic), La Coruña, Los Angeles, etc) but for example saying "La Bielorrusia" (The Belarus) sounds weird, as in most cases. So, there is no rule to know which ones have article or not, those who have are learned together, as if the article was part of the name. Oh and well you can also use it when omiting a landform, like "el (mar) Mediterráneo", "el (río) Nilo", and such.

I understand one's concern for having it spelled correctly,

but it is a map in a casual game. As long as you can understand what is what, its fine. I'd say Omega should listen Pablo, but he'd probably have people like you for the French area, German area, Turkish, Italian, Russian, Swedish and so forth. So good advice, but don't go overboard with correct spelling/grammar.

I guess these territories should be spelled in their English form.

@Tchaikovsky True, and I'm not like forcing him to write them that way, however I'm really tired to see maps with their names being randomly written...

I don't mind either English or native forms, as long as all are written the same method.

Why are folk still arguing about how it should be named? It is going to be named as the game names it. Talk's end.

I usually prefer English names, because on mobile (where you cant link territories -.-) you can easily tell your teammates what territory you exactly mean.

Watching you make the map is both exciting and annoying.

Point is, I'm really hyped for this map. I have a few suggestions/questions:

1. Try to make a more differential border between countries. Maybe a thicker line would help, just so I could tell what country owns what
2. Sooner than later, make lines indicating naval routes. It'll be very helpful.
3. What do you use to determine territory value? Do you have your own system, or is it in EU4 somewhere?
