That's true. I'm not contesting that.

The best case scenario is Clan League actually creating those games to compare divisions. I don't expect them to go through that effort, since the system is already broken in terms of how many games it requires.

Barring that, we're forced to buy into the premise that D1 and D2 are comparable (which we've already bought into by treating them both as the same level).

To be clear, the proposal I made isn't statistically sound. I only made it because it's marginally better than the alternative of just straight-up picking the 2nd most points and acting like D1 and D2 are equal.

I think that the organization (having two D-leagues instead of methodically or even randomly having a D and E league) is already stupid and demonstrates how broken and slow a system Clan League is.

Bad luck for Yin-Yang.

Some guy wouldn't play the 2v2 with Neptune (0-6, even though Neptune dominated in his 1v1 (5-1) and 3v3 (6-0). Yin-Yang's other team tournaments: 6-0, 4-2, 5-1, 6-0. I'm sure with a reliable teammate that 0-6 would have been at least a 4-2.

And then Yin-Yang comes in second in the D league but isn't assured of a promotion to C.

Aside from me, when have you seen a Yin-Yang player talk on this forum? Don't hold your breath, you won't find anyone to come here to ask for any favors.

Whoa! That last game could still make the difference between 3rd and 4th for CORP and M'Hunters. And it would affect the number of clans with 60%+ win rates.

Nah, it couldn't. M'hunters already won their 3v3 Europe game, and have 147 points. The best CORP could do (and I've been informed that they will probably win this game) is 143 points, so it's an incredibly close finish.

Too bad we could win this season, but we did not play so seriously, we got to many boot starting from me and in 3V3 one of our team just give up got booted in the rest well we can say we lost due boot but next season its ours for sure the big dogs gonna play =)

Was in this season one clan that DIDN'T suffer from boots?

I know M'Hunters, ILLUMINATI and General Chou all had players get booted. I'd say its likely one clan didn't have any boots but I really don't want to check all the games.

Reading some of the posts here people think the head to head idea is not the way to decide..

Well by faith now this scenario is going to happen, Ahol AFAIK dropped participanting in clan league, So probably 101st will be promoting creating another spot in C if this happens.

The head to head on max points rule will be used to acknowledge who will get promoted and I think it is Yin-Yang thanks to Darklords handing wins to virtually anyone...

So unless ILLUMINATI wants to seriously appeal if this is how it's going to happen above ^^

Well, there are nice ideas in here, but since they were not adopted up front, we need to stick with the rule that was...total points.

So, it sounds like AHol has dropped out, that means there will be an additional promotion from C to B (101st), and from D to C (top points after the normal promotions).

So Yin Yang has 173 and AWF has 168...all games completed so Yin Yang moves up to C as well. If an additional clan drops out, AWF will move up.

And with (around) 7 clans joining next season there will probably be the same issue as this season, Clan League management should discuss a 100% different method of dividing the clans and deciding promotion because this system ended up being extremely flawed. So how clans get promoted for next season based on the size of Group E will be important.

As to my reaction, I am not sure what I'm going to do but I'm not happy (obviously). But I have time to decide what to do. Should I do a final update for this thread? Should I help run Group D next season?

I don't see how I can appeal the decision. If Clan League management has shown anything, its that once they make a decision come hell or high water they stick with that decision.

My advice to Clan League management: Limit new clans to 7 per season. Then you don't need to worry about multiple divisions and all this mess.

Catch me up here, what are you appealing? That Yin Yang should get that spot over Illuminati (who was 2nd place in the other division)? I can't see how I can change the rule now (it was stated as total points at the start). Even IF we did change that, how? Outside having the two clans go HTH, there is no fair way to resolve it since you did not have common matchups. And as I said, it will resolve itself once we can switch the format to more of a ladder+playoff system.

FBG - 6th in C
Lost Wolves - 7th in C
AWF
Illuminati
M Hunters
CORP
General Chou

E will be the remaining clans from D1/D2:
Olympus
Poon
Juggernauts
Hawks
Dutch
Darklords - may not be back, committee may remove


F will be new clans (perhaps we should limit it to 7 as you say).

I am proposing that E also contain XS/ONE (other slot is in B) as a consolation for those who went to ONE or stayed in XS. If it is only 6 teams, or even 5...not a big deal. It would simply result in extra promotions from F as normal.
