Sze and Gnuff will try to race to first place, playing weak teams. If they lose a game or two early, expect them to quit without continuing (like when an informal 3v3 ladder was made and they didn't dominate like they were supposed to).

I will eventually be in first, if I say my prayers and eat my vitamins.

First place will be a revolving door like the 1v1 ladder. Too much guesswork, pick lottery, and accounting to throw us off.

But HHH never will be in first unless he gets new teammates. Two teams I'm currently playing would beat HHH, and they aren't on anyone's mind.

Lots of dark horses out there, though they are dark because few know about them. Big names matter less than good play.

Did turtle or I say something that offended you? Why don't you make your own list and put yourself on the top? Nobody cares. It's just for entertainment.

My 3v3 ladder prediction is that the ladder will do much better than 2v2 ladder. Now only 1 week in we have 45 teams ~= 135 active players. 2v2 ladder after years of being established has 65 teams which mean ~= 130 players. And that is only 1 week after start of the ladder.

RIP 2v2 ladder.

people were just looking for somethign new, once the first scores are established most of these teams will become inactive just like in the 2v2

This is essentially what I've always said for years.

If fizzer would change the 2v2 template with 4 picks, he would increase the number of teams for sure, but if he change to somethign like China 2v2 or Szeuropa, he will get a big boost in terms of teams.

Same with RT ladder: if he tweak template a little, eliminating template like EA&O or tweaking it with 0% SR i am sure more player would like to be in. And btw best thing would be, be able to pick 6 template out of 10 you want play, and get a game with one of those 6 template you picked from the polls of 10.

IMO, this 3v3 ladder is by far the best ever ladder, as template, fun and measure of overall skill.

HHH, if I could, I would have booted you from the game after turn 3 or 4, when you were completely hopeless. Skunk's team made me eliminate everyone. It feels like you are doing the same.

Indeed. Notwithstanding the popularity of the EU 3v3 template, once the novelty appeal goes, the number of teams will most likely decrease, in my opinion. Then everybody will be looking new things. Maybe if we look a few years down the road, we'll have a new ladder.

If only Qi would be around to pester and petition for a new ladder then... a shame he declared to leave after his ragequit a while ago... :/

Qi, i didnt have time play with my 3 nicks at time anymore, i will go into vacation for 50 days, after this i will do same with other nick, later i will take turn every time 2 days 22 hours and you will eliminate me after 1 year, so you will be ranked at best after year too. And this is your choice. Of course i will surrender in the others ladder games before it (Altough against gnuff puppet i will be booted, he isnt worth my surrender like you)

About the thread's topic:

- Pulsey talks about a gradual decline in the number of teams as "the novelty appeal [sic] goes [sic]." I disagree. The number of players who understand, enjoy, and play 3v3 Europe has increased with time over the years. Having autogames and a ladder will only add to 3v3 Europe's popularity.

- Szeweningen lauds the total number of teams. This is shameful statistical analysis from a purported economist who loves math. If I control three accounts, that does not mean there are three players on my team. There is but one, me.

- I think this ladder will be far more fluid than the 2v2 ladder, and the average "shelf life" of a team will be less. Teams with one player will provide stability to the ladder. It is probably more preferable to have one-player teams on the 3v3 as opposed to the 2v2 ladder: the settings are better (greater willingness to play alone); there is more to talk about (some of us don't have time to discuss things in great detail or live in time zones that would not make communication with teammates especially efficient); and having two teammates increases the likelihood of boots.

- Nonetheless, the accounting work is greater, so this is the downside of playing alone. Thankfully, HHH is willing to delay surrendering for the rest of his "WarLife," so my game count will actually be 1. This will reduce the burden of being my own accountant.

- I think Awesomeguy's list is the most accurate. There are too many unknown teams.

Yeah, it will have lasting appeal IMO.

And yes, I am borrowing nich account (only for those games, he is in a few non ladder ones), because my other alt is only level 33.
