Since we refused to replay games with another player against Lynx, they refused finally to replay our 3v3 with De Gaule boot in pick they wanted to play. We understand this, but we don't care if we cannot replay our 3v3, we will not accept remake with different players. Really, the aim of our team is not to get some point in a sneacky way, to win a competition without any respect and for what everyone could blame us. Please stop sarcasms, it's not a question of be afraid, and it will not help to anything to show this kind of stuff.

It seems really hard to be understand by people waiting someting from you...

By the way, Lynx, you were the first to refuse a make up. I understand, you wanted to be aggrieved, but the good way to think is set a decision criterion no matter if it could advantage you, or not. Please, do not throw us the stone.

FC team always clamed the same things, and I tried to be right and honest as much as it's possible. We do not want our decisions are misinterpreted.

We accepted a remake against Apex they were our principal opponent with GG. First we simply thought remake all games is not a solution, but everyone wanted to make up games with a player booted in pick stage so we accepted even if we judge it could be unfair. The same game no ? With same players. To change a roster during a tournament could be even more unfair.

Really guys, it could be simple, and don't create any problem. Teams have to choose their roster with wariness. A lot of boots is a problem for the league, and avoiding that start by choosing safer players. It's the responsability of the team with the booted player, and not the responsability of organisers or the other teams. This is probably the best way to reduce the amount of boot in the Clan League.

This tournament take a wrong way, and unfortunately it could be not so good for all relations between different teams. It's very important to avoid this. I think the best way to do that is just to set us a course of action.

Clear decision. Discussions on the rules between two different clan leagues. No changes during a tournament. Simple way. No problem.

If you can remake games with different players, I'd like to remake all of our 3v3 WR games with me in the place of RA :P

Honestly, I've never understood remaking games with booted players. Getting booted sucks, and it sucks even more when your teammate gets booted. But there are no other competitive arenas in Warlight where boots get made up. If you get booted in the ladder, you lose. Same with tournaments. Just my 2¢ though.

At the risk of sounding like an asshole, i'd just like to point out the elephant in the room here, wich is how incredibly important this game must be for ahol...

The problem here is that we're talking about Darkpie, a very reliable player, who suddenly disappeared from Warlight without saying anything to anyone at all. He would have never done something like that. It seems obvious something happened to him.

It's just not respectful to compare his disappearance to a standard chain of boots. This is the part that makes me feel incredibly uneasy.

If a player suddenly vanished or died from a any clan, I'd do anything in my power to fill the gap. It's just a matter of sympathy and to help one another among clans (and gaming communities). Lynx is in a "mourning" phase.

i hope nothing happened to darkpie, but i don't think it's really relevant how the boot happened. actually i think darkpie just lost interest in warlight. he played every game at a Speed of 3 days or more (with vacations) for weeks before he got booted from all games and disappeared.

i think i won't accept rematches next season except every Player got booted and the game got decided completely random. boots suck but i'm not willing to spend time on analyzing games for picks and then my work is wasted and there is simply a rematch. bad luck for the booted clan. luck factor at the Player picking stage.

Refering to one's feelings and empathy is not fair imo.
It shouldn't depend on each and every player if he accepts rematches or not really.
If it is to be competitive and fair for everyone some official rules shall be made.

yeah...and you told me yourself that he showed up briefly 1 month after going awol, so going with the dead guy theory is a bit stretchy. I do hope he is well, and if remake were to be done then of course it makes no sense not to have a replacement for Darkpie. But the season is almost over, and remaking all Darkpie's games is just really annoying and time consuming. Not to mention that it poses ethical issue for example when you remake a game against ahol, wich has no stakes in the game anymore. The whole thing becomes unclear and shady, nobody knows what remakes were made or are going to be made, and it is just annoying.

Indeed 125ch. I remember our conversation very well. I was pretty convinced Darkpie simply had enough of Warlight and wanted to leave it all behind...

However, someone brought up that the short moment he was online in the middle of his disappearance (which is about two months now) could have been a family member or friend briefly using his smart phone. I also received testmonies of friends who called him a very reliable person who enjoys skiing and getting tipsy / drunk. This made me change my mind. We've done our best to find his Facebook account or any other method of contacting him and his relatives... But to no avail.

I agree it could pose ethical concerns, though. I wish there was an easy way out of this.

Now for my take on the subject of players being booted and rematches.

As much as I'm a 101st/Lynx player you can't let emotions or drama get in the way of your players getting booted in the competition like this. Personally it's a hard luck better luck next time type of thing for myself.

But I think what we are all ignoring is we all have lives and crazy stuff happens, About 20 min ago I was afraid my internet was about to cut-off meaning I would be gone for a week and being booted in several matches/games. There needs to be a barrier and measures to prevent this from happening as it ruins everything and cause friction among Elite clans.

What I think this barrier needs to be is a Emergency Substitute rule! Similar to Soccer/Football you are allowed 3 subs and can send them into your clan league roster with your main team. If a player has been booted in several or more matches than the disadvantaged clan can call for a substitute and send a application for approval of that substitute to represent that Booted player in it's place. Now if this happens middle of a tournament, That team or individual scores don't count and matches must take place again with that substitute player in it. If the team/Individual has wins/losses with that booted player it does not count and must be all re-played with that substitute.

This way, We have a way of solving this problem have a proper fair system without begging off favours of others.

As much as I love the conversation going on now, it's an issue we're already working on. Next season will have an official ruleset regarding how things will be handled (it will definitely include how replacements should be treated.) Next season there is no way we could possibly finish up doing a CLOT, but by season 9 we're hoping to move this league into a CLOT so we can create a management panel for each clan to use. The management panel would allow substitutes to be made, and thus completely replacing the need for any replacements.

Regarding this season: There is no official ruleset regarding replacements. Meaning replacements are at everyone's discretion, and so long as the only rule we have atm isn't broken: A player cannot play in multiple clans, multiple leagues, or exceed 4 tournaments. Then no harm, no foul. My views are that games in which people were booted at pick stage are re-playable so long as the benefiting party agrees. Do my views matter? No. That's just how I've been deciding what games I replay.

With Darkpie, it is hard to know if something happened to him in real life. He is not the type of guy to just disappear randomly without letting us know. Also, the fact that someone logged onto his account one time without doing anything seems odd. That said, Darkpie had been booted out in some of the earlier games of the clan league, before his sudden stretch of completely disappearing. So there is a solid chance that nothing happened to him in real life, other than him just getting too busy. I don't know if we'll ever know for sure what the situation is. Hopefully he'll come back to warlight in the future and just say he was too busy. We'll be upset he left without telling us, but it's better than the alternative. But since we can't know what happened to him right now, I definitely don't think Lynx deserves sympathy make up games or anything of that kind.

I respect that some clans may not want to play a makeup game, and that is understandable. I was upset at the French clan at first because we were willing to make one up for them. However, after discussing it with them, we decided neither makeup game would count, which seems fair. My way of thinking is if one clan makes up a game for another clan where a player was booted off picks, the benefiting clan should return the favor if a player of the opposing clan was booted off picks. Sure, I want all clans to accept makeup games where Darkpie was booted off picks, but it's perfectly understandable for a clan to decline the makeup game if we haven't agreed to make one up for them.

This season, the issue was makeup games were happening even before Darkpie went inactive. There is no clear ruleset. So basically, the nicer clans risk losing some points by accepting the makeup games. Next season, as long as either all games where players are booted off picks are made up, or no games at all being made up, it is fair. I just don't like the idea of the nicer clans being punished for agreeing to makeup games, which we could see affecting the standings this season. Basically, for future seasons, as long as the rule is clear to all clans, I am fine with it.

JSA, we don't refused the remake. We just want a remake with all same player. ofc with Darkpie inactive it's a waste of time to do the remake. But we accept a remake agains Apex and we was ready to do a remake agains GG (our 2 direct clan fighting for the 1st place).
At the begin GG ask us also for change player in the remake and same like you we refused.

Rules must be clarified for next season but without CLOT and possibility to change a player during the tournament no one can require a remake if the other team not agree. And FC will refused all remake and of course not ask for it. Rules can say other think, we have now our position on it and we will not change.

Of course everybody hopes Darkpie is ok, but it's just speculations of what might happend even though you know him well. MoD points out that analyzing a game that later will be replayed is a waste of time analyzing, that's true but it isn't unfair cause the other player can't use the information of your picks. So if the rules for next season is rematch if player got booted on picks, I can live with that. But I agree with FC that lineups presented before tournament starts can't be changed. You can't have a good rule about it imo.

So I have a suggestion instead that would speed up all tournaments and prevent players to have too many games at once.
As it is now the 1v1, and also 2v2 tournaments is finished long time before 3v3 which makes it kind of uninteresting to follow now. Also a player in maximum 4 tournaments would have as much as 8 games at the same time (today it's RR with maximum 2 games at a time).

-At the start of clan league each clan only needs to submit line-up for two 3vs3s, one 2vs2, and two 1vs1s.
-after 20 days each clan needs to submit line-up for one 2vs2 and two 1vs1s.
-after 40 days each clan needs to sumbmit line-up for one 2vs2 and two 1vs1s.
*tournaments change to RR 3 games at once.

What I think is good about this is the fact that we spread out the 1vs1s and 2vs2s over the clanleague season. It gives another spectra to see what players the clans used in other tournaments, when selecting line-ups for tournaments day 20 and 40. The clan have time to select line-ups and the Darkpie syndrom won't have such an affect. Chris and Kenny won't have that much work in the beginning of clan league. Even though it is 3 games at a time of every tournament, you could select players according to when tournament start, and spread the participation so there won't be more than 6-9 games at the same time for a player.

Today clan league isn't finished and it is soon 4 months ago it was finished. With these changes you would probably have a complete season within 3 months.

Making it even shorter you would need to not honor vacations, and that probably won't be an option.

I think that will just increase the workload, and make it harder to organise. Chris will have to chase clan leaders down for lineups 3 times instead of 1. It might work for A, but I imagine it will get messy in the lower leagues where people don't care as much.
