I think Miles is getting better lately. His main is improving on the realtime ladder a bit, and he's never had a 1v1 run like that on his main.

Miles definetely improved! I was very surprised by his 1vs1 ladder performance

Think the most improved has to be buns.
I remember about 3-4 months ago when he first joined RT ladder and he had a rating of about 1400/1500 and I had beat him about 6 times in a row. Now he is one of the best regulars on there.

I think anyone who is active in Illuminati, is asking the right questions + hopes to learn and is patient, is worth paying attention to. That clan is trying to give the right ingredients to the brightest minds of Warlight's next generation to become amazing ... if anyone can do it, they can. That's just my two cents. :)

Also, Sephiroth is fairly new, in the clan Lu Fredd. Top 30 in 1v1 ladder at one point, he should be on this list if he's active.

Volsung, I had him at first, then changed my mind. He is definitely another guy to watch.

Buns isn't upcoming anymore, he's already reached a strong level.

I wish my roommate from a year ago had stayed active... the guy was an engineering major, and I played 2v2 with him every night for three months (edit: never lost, though we did piss off AWESOMEGUY. That's how I met him ^_^). He would've been fantastic. Oh well

JSA what are your thoughts on Roque_Nacho? He seemed to be a strong up and coming player at first but now I feel like he's leveled off.

Almosttricky has been around a while but he has improved a lot.

And I think

Smileyleg {TJC} who has been around a while, has been improving and is approaching a new "skill level"

Simple, my next "alt" is the best upcoming Warlight player. Stayed tuned!

I think roque_nacho has some potential, but I have not played enough with him to have a good idea of his skill at the moment. I am unsure of whether or not he can ever become a top player, or whether or not he actually will. He's definitely a guy to keep in mind though.

I really like almosttricky's improvement lately. It seems that really, he instituted a new thought process and it really improved his play. I am interested to see if he keeps up his climb up the ladder. He was actually also in my original list (I had 6 players at first, including my current 3, Sephiroth, almosttricky, and a 6th that I don't remember right now. I narrowed it down to 3 because I was most confident about the 3 I stated.)

Smileyleg is also interesting to watch. These kind of players that are improving without needing "tutoring" are definitely guys to watch out for.

IMO, ziskonian republic and Platinum are rising. From my point of view, it'll take me a fair amount of time to be one of the "Best Upcoming WL Players", as I know that I lack strategic talent and having enough focus on my games

aww thanks guys, and I'll do my best JSA, I am on a bit of a 1v1 ladder streak at the moment. I'd say that icelandic turtles has got a lot of potential. Buns is a beast, and he's still improving. Sultan isn't far behind. There's also quite a few others in there, but those 2 especially. Turtle's doing a good job at finding them.
