Ok, so a while ago Mercer told us that for $5,000 they could add in any feature to Warlight within a month.

Now, I'm not sure what the community on Warlight is like, I know there's a lot of kids, but I assume there are a lot of adults like me about too, and I wouldn't mind chipping in a bit of money if it will guarantee a feature :)

Whilst $5,000 sounds like a lot of money, if say, 500 members contribute $10 each that would be enough for us to get any feature we want added. What I would like to do is get a feel from the community of how feasible this would be.

To keep it simple: it's about 500,000 coins. Say you have to buy a "share" at 1,000 coins each, would any of you be interested in donating? If so to what idea, and how many shares?

Please don't flame, I'm happy if you disagree, but this is for the community so everyone would benefit even the haters, and there may well be 500 players who would do it. Or even 250 players giving 2,000 coins would be enough :)

For example:
I would be happy to buy 2 shares for a new AI system (2/500)
I would pay 1 share for a revamped single player section (1/500)

TL;DR: Would you pay in some money to Fizzer to get a feature added to Warlight?

Absolutely not.

It's going to be a hastily done, poorly done, minimally done feature, whatever it is, and it's going to cost us loads of money.

Imagine this:

Pay 5000USD, you ask Fizzer to improve the My/Open Games.
He removes the My/Open games and adds the dashboard in.

Now, that dashboard took loads of time to make, let's say it's made in a month. 3x worse. The game is worse.

Let them think hard about good updates rather than the controversial ones they've had starting from the Coins update. And then let them do it well and fully.

I agree with Kapy, some things like changing a few RT ladder templates (I've played around with CLOT) would take Fizzer about 30 seconds to program.

When Fizzer doesn't bother fixing the real time ladders templates..

Not giving the attention the forums need for trollers like "Nigger Lover"

Fizzer is his worst enemy.. Which is why I can't give money.

Ok, maybe this isn't clear enough, I'm not talking about "can we change the colours of the borders plz" I'm talking about major updates. You can develop a whole new game for about $10,000 I mean, we could just make Warlight 2.0 if you don't think Fizzer is up to it...

I'm giving him a little bit of credit here though, I think for $5,000 we're talking about a major feature addition or rework. Else what would be the point?

While I sort of get your point I think you've kinda missed mine...

"Pay 5000USD, you ask Fizzer to improve the My/Open Games." Er... no, like... that's not what I'm talking about here at all.

Thanks Vern, hugz 4 U.

I'm a broke ass college student with bills but I'd put (1/500) towards a better mobile app. If not that then at least a modification allowing minor powers to moderators.

I would think (hope) if it was for a minor alteration Fizzer would accept a reasonable amount of coins for the work though, obviously that's at his discretion though, thanks for the support Gen :)

There should be a donation button to allow people to support the running/adding and monitoring of this site!

Well I assume there is a way to donate coins, else it wouldn't have been suggested, hopefully Fizzer can enlighten us...

People will only give their free coins.. Mostly anyways.

+ There is a 20% tax? and so on...

It is just much more easier + simpler to have that donation button.

They have said that the free coins won't count. Maybe they didn't think this through properly, a donate button with paypal would be handy. If it could be linked through Uservoice that would be even better.
