This is the official thread for the diplomacy game "WW1- 1919 the aftermath".

Information about the slot list, rules, starting wars and other useful things about the game is all included. You can also post improvement suggestions here. Things only related to the sessions in itself should however not be posted here but in the public game chat instead.

RULES

----


GENERAL

You have to declare war (except on PEs). You are not allowed to order attacks the same turn you have declared.
Wars inside a team are not prohibited.


TURNS

Every turn is one month. This means that certain events happen after specific turns:

Turn 6: Treaty of Versailles. The province of Gdanzk immediately has to be ceded to Poland. Violation leads to war with France.

Turn 9: Treaty of Saint-Germain. No Player is allowed to control provinces in Germany AND Austria anymore.

Turn 21: Italy is now allowed to attack on its own peninsula.

Turn 48: Finland is now allowed to declare war.

Turn 49: Treaty of Rapallo. The Soviet Union is no longer PE and now has to declare war and others have to declare on them, too.

Turn 60: France is allowed to move further into Northrine Westphalia without a declaration of war.


FACTION RULES

Italy is not allowed to attack anyone inside the Italy bonus until turn 21.

Finland is not allowed to declare war until 48. The are however allowed to attack PEs and defend themselves against aggression.

If France controls more than 2 bonuses inside Germany, Britain has to declare war on them. This rule does not apply if Germany was unified before.

The German Government is not allowed to declare war on a faction that is not already at war for at least 2 turns.

The Russian, the Lithuanian–Byelorussian SSR and Communist Latvia are PE until turn 49. This means they can attack and can be attacked at any time until then.


REGIONAL RULES

Noone is allowed to intervene in the Romanian-Hungarian-War until that war is finished (when either Transsylvania is Hungarian or Romania controls its superbonus).

Only Turkey, Armenia and Greece are allowed to attack inside the Turkey superbonus. Everyone else has to wait until a PE moves there or someone of the combatants controls the whole bonus.

(H) Russian SSR and(AJ) Communist Latvia and (AM) Lithuanian–Byelorussian SSR are considered rouge and are allowed to attack anyone without declaration. They can be attacked by anyone howerver, too. This changes after turn 49, then they become normal factions.

Could you please explain the Russian starting wars a little clearer? I had a hard time figuring out who is at war with who. Other than that, everything makes sense. I would like Czechoslovakia please.
