I hate it when i play really well with an ally with great teamwork, and then when it comes to the end of the game, someone has to awkwardly decide to surrender and lose all the points or VTE where neither get points. It will be much better if we can split the points.

This also applies to when someone ruins the game by being booted. In this system of sharing the points, each player gets a very small amount of points from the player leaving (since he's not there to claim it), which makes up for it.

Edit: Improvement to prevent manipulation: Points come from those who have already left the game. For example, in a 40FFA, each player defeated is worth 5000 points. If one person is booted, then that 5,000 points is divided between the 39 other players if they decide to VTE then.

Too easy to manipulate, you create loads of 40FFA games, in all you all vote to end turn 1, you all get loads of points. No games played. Since you cannot incorporate a way to tell if the game has been rigged from the start or if the game simply was a short one no point in having this as a rule.

I am fairly certain that Cata cauda is * agreeing with you *,
since hedja was (wisely) pointing out the opportunities for abuse.
Try not to shoot yourself in the foot, okay?

Playing with great allies can be hard at the end...

but usually we agree to fight it out...

As for people who get booted:

It's possible to program the game to reduce the chances of unfair manipulation:

Stipulation that the game has gone X number of turns,

AND has gone X number of days,

AND has had X% of surrenders,

AND ...

is possible, but I'm not sure that's the best use of time and energy to improve the gameplay experience for people.

I'm coming to the conclusion that the costs of getting oneself booted should be higher, and higher still for people who get booted later in the game...

and I'm going to start a separate thread to address that.

Can be used as a incentive for people to VTE if a opponent gets booted or surrenders.. at the beginning of the game.

If you all VTE, then you will all receive ~100 points, which just wouldn't be worth it

The amount of points that would make cheating beneficial to a player's account
probably depends on the level of the player...

and it certainly depends how many points they can earn as easily by actually playing the game as it is intended.
