I think so, yes.

I could see it working by Slot (which the game creator sets up - if you are in the Slot the creator named FRANCE, then you show up as FRANCE in the game) or by users themselves (just create a function which allows a player to rename themselves for the duration of the game, at least in the chat and "players" windows). By the players themselves is probably simpler.

That would help a lot in diplomacy games! (And even large team games.)
