This scenario is fictional Its 2009, tensions between the Catalonian and Spanish governments have been rising. Catalonia wants to be independent but Spain believes it is a part of Spain. A Catalonian insurgent group known as "El Liberacion De Cataluña" has been involved in terror attacks in major Spanish cities, bombing of political buildings and the assasinations of Spanish officials. The fighting in big cities such as Barcelona, Madrid and especially areas Catalonia have been brutal. But in late 2015 the fighting and violence has intensified greatly and has reached unprecedented levels. The violence has also spread over to parts of the Spanish country side and British gibraltar (which causes the UK to side and aid Spain), this marks the beginning of the 2nd Spanish Civil War. Portugal and especially France, fearing a spillover of violence into their countries and who are close allies of Spain, finally decide to aid and help Spain to put down this violent insurgency and an end to the civil war. |
