You are a pawn nation that was seized by the Monarcha. The monarchy makes most happy. Most people like how industrialized and strong the nation is. But not you... nor the southern states. The monarch has exploited and ravaged your land, to please and fortify its old ones. it harvested fertilizer, manpower, and makedorial meat from the south.... and large amounts of alloys, wood, and heaghuan herbs and fruits from you. you heard about an alliance forming on the islands, to combat the Monarcha's tyranny.. you and the southern states send missionaries to go and discuss a deal, but they come back with terrible news; the isles would only let us in if we inserted our land into theirs. We want full freedom! Disgruntled, you decide to ally with the weakened south, which promptly agreed. The day you announced this, the Monarcha started sending troops your way. After a long and arduous battle, the Monarcha advanced forth on your land. you could tell this was the start of a long war, that would stand on for many ages... This was CRAZY hard to balance, in such a way that It's possible but not boring.
