The government we put in place is utterly loyal to us, but the people are another story. Even with the help of propaganda, only about a fifth support us. However, the people of the low countries have put up with this because the government is still run by them. January 28, 2040, 9:29 PM: After months of preparation, the President is ready to announce that the Dutch Federation will be fully joining the Fourth Reich. things quickly escalated from there. Chatter turned into heckling. Heckling turned into throwing rocks. Throwing rocks turned into riots. Riots turned into Revolution. By the next morning, the president was dead and the Dutch Federation was replaced by the Benelux United Front. By noon, they had returned Calais to France and lined troops on the German border, ready to defend.
