Charles I has started the English Civil War hoping to reunite the kingdoms of England, Scotland and Ireland. The English Parliament has risen in opposition to Charles I and his English Royalists. The Scots rebelled against the English Royalists as did the Irish, respectively forming the Scottish Covenanters and the Irish Confederates. According to history, the Parliament destroyed Charles I's armies and Oliver Cromwell went on to rule over England, Scotland and Ireland. This time, the Irish Confederates will not be defeated. |
