I am very new to this game, and I really like. I joined yesterday and since I just got accused of something, quite adamantly, by my opponent in a two-player game, I figured I come here and seek some advice on how not to piss people off.

Anyway, the opponent said I created a second account. I'm not sure why my opponent felt this way, or even how to do that or why it's bad. (I mean, if I were controlling two accounts in a three-player game, I would get it.) Anyway, I only have one account, and I don't know what happened or why this guy bailed on our game or why he accused me of something that I don't even understand.

Can anyone tell me how I could be a good/better citizen here? As far as I know I'm playing by the rules...

I suppose this depends on whether you're schizophrenic.

I don't know hot to link to the game, but I'm getting the same impression from you guys that I got myself. It made no sense. He resigned after nine turns, and started making accusations after about six turns. Maybe it was something in my profile. Maybe he's just a jerk. I have no idea, but thanks for the input...

Nobody likes to lose, and he's just trying to rationalize away his loss. Just forget about him and enjoy your win :)

I said 'link' before. You can't do that yet. You have to be level 50 first (not really). :)

If you go to the Multi Player tab, at the top right there is a button that says Options. If you click that, it'll open up some parameters that you can set. That was more just FYI than how to post a link, but it might be relevant.


To post a 'URL' go to the game in question and click the settings button, which will open up the settings window. On the left side of the settings window, right about in the middle, there's a field that says Link. You can copy/paste that and even though you can't actually post a 'link' because the Warlight forums just aren't set up for it right now, you can post the url, which is what everyone is asking for when they request a link to a game.

Also, you don't really have to post the url to the game you were talking about. We all know, including the creator of Warlight (who is Fizzer) that whomever your were playing against is crazy.

I think that because you were a new player, he looked at your profile and saw that you were, he assumed it would be an easy game. The point of creating another profile (besides using both in a multi-player game and essential controlling 2 of 3 in a 1v1v1 game) is that your profile is "clean" showing less wins and a poorer record, thereby luring others into a game thinking that they are playing a noob when they are veterans.

according to what you told us, this is not the case and he is just upset that he lost to someone new to the game.
