Why had this extremely helpful button to go? WHY??? i was absent for the last 4 months and i miss my button so much already :'(

I agree, this was useful for sure. Especially if you read a chat on a finished game and then want to go back to it (without having to modify filters).

Did you use the browser back function (ei. backspace) to exit the game? in that case it will not work. However if you exit the game in any other way it should work (it does for me).

Last tournament is very useful as well if you decline one by mistake.

The goal is to replace the old "recall" button with just using your browser's back button. The browser's back button is far more flexible than the old recall button ever was, since it allows going back multiple steps, and also going forward again, etc. It's also far more intuitive for new players, since everyone knows how to use their back button.

This is part of a larger effort to make WarLight more like a normal website, such as allowing right-click open-in-new-tab/window for using multiple tabs/windows, allow linking and bookmarking, making the back button work like people expect, etc.

The back button should work fine if you're clicking on a game from the multi-player dashboard. However if you're still using the old My Games or Open Games tab then it won't work since those are Flash pages and no actual page navigate happens. Those pages are going to be deleted anyway, so it's probably not worth spending time fixing it.

Whaat/ Why delete My Games and Open Games? I know there's Dashboard but it isn't as good in my opinion...

EDIT - Just tested. The last game does work from the Multiplayer dashboard. The last tournament also works if you enter it from the dashboard and not the "tournament" tab as well.

Why delete My Games and Open Games?

All Flash pages will eventually be deleted and replaced with non-Flash versions as we eventually want the site to be usable without plugins.

Does that include the actual game? Like when you play. Because that would mean you could eventually use every feature on a mobile, including playing. I think :p

I do see some issues though. Here is a series of actions I tested:

1) multiplayer dashboard
2) tournaments link (in dashboard on top right)
3) click on tournament
4) back button on browser

This results in being at multiplayer dashboard. I would think you should be back at the tournament page instead.

This is fair enough. But then, could you please improve the Dashboard? It takes so long to scroll down if you are in many games (like I am). Also, it's a little annyoing when you have to click on the name of the game to enter it and if you click the image it won't work.

Eventually! But that's a long-term plan and is probably a long ways away.

I'd like to see the forums box altered like I mentioned before. Not most recent overall, but most recent from all the boards (like 5 from each or something). I also don't understand coin leaderboard being on there. That seems like it should be part of the other dashboard where the ladders are. It would also be nice to hide modules (like promoted games, open games, clan forum, etc). But those aren't a huge deal I guess.

I feel like map of the week should be right under the blog posts. I'd move the real time notice up right below the tournament box. I haven't had this happen, but what happens if you have no tournaments to accept? The link is still there, correct?

Oh, sorry, it actually does. Would it be possible to also make it open when you click anywhere on the game window? Because right now if I click on the bar with the players for instance it won't open. I find that annoying that I have to search for the name or for the image in order to open a game instead of clicking anywhere. Thanks.

Personally, I would vote against that Death. It may seem handy, but if you are multitasking and you just want to click back to the browser, you don't want to enter a game every time by accident. I hate pages that have no background space (everything is a link). ESPN is that way because they have ads around the whole page on the background. You can't click anywhere on the main page without going somewhere.

Well then just the player toolbar at least. I agree with you Chris that it could be annyoing of having a full page of links but I find myself frustrated seeing as My Games is better than Dashboard because of this.
Another thing, add pages to the Dashboard. The list can be simply too long.
