im setting up tournaments for my clan and trying to find good maps and settings for quick strategic games for 1v1 and 2v2. i thought it would be good to ask people that have played a lot more strategic games than i have. anyone have any suggestions?

this is a game created by Gilas and we played as a 2v2. map is great, settings are basic and the result is challenging.

I highly recommend.

this uses another 2v2 template on small earth that I like very much. dense fog makes it more challenging and strictly encourages team play. again highly recommended, on the condition that the teammates are cooperative and communicative.

No, I actually wouldn't recommend the 2v2 ladder template as it has too few picks on too big of a map.

this 2 vs 2 ladder template is not very skill based
only 2 picks is no fun
16% luck haunts us throughout the game

the map looks strategic though,you might wanna try 0 luck straight round and 4 picks 1 vs 1 on it

And it does need more picks, although I seem to be having a horrible time in 1v1 with 3v2's right now...

maybe increase the armies on your intitial starts to ten?

That would make it horrid Thomas. A bonus with 5 territories would be a first turn bonus, and all sorts of other weird combinations.

Just make the initial armies 5 if it's 0% WR and 4 if it's 0% SR and put in 4 picks with the wasteland settings it already has and it's a good template.
