There was an argument going about if being transsexual/ dressing like the opposite sex is a choice or not.

Being Heterosexual is not a choice nor being transsexual, but being in a heterosexual relationship or dressing like the opposite sex is.

Being Heterosexual can lead to having a heterosexual relationship and being transsexual can lead to dressing like the opposite sex, this means that dressing like the opposite sex is still a choice even though you have a strong desire to do so.

If someone would treat me a ice-cream, then I would probably eat it, because I like ice-cream and I have a strong desire to eat it.

But it is still a choice if I do so.


P.S People, what is your favorite type of Ice-Cream? :)

This is true, but being transgender isn't what we're discussing. Being transexual is the direct argument. And again, there's a certain mindset that goes along with being transexual, that of a female (or male if you're FtM).

I just want to make sure you all understand that transgender is different from transexual.

Transgender is an umbrella term which includes Crossdressers, Drag queens/kings, fetishists (agp), and transexuals.

I believe I first heard it when you were chatting with me and Churchill. I've never insulted you about being sexually-mentally disordered, just tried to discourage you.

Autism is a disability likely connected with the increase of heavy metals and chemicals in our modern society. One is observable, results in varying degrees of mental retardation and in most cases the inability to function independently.

The other might have a genetic predisposition, but we don't really know enough about genetics and the actual impact they have on our daily lives to determine that.

Indeed, there is a difference, but liking to dress like the opposite gender is not being a rebel against society, it is part of society. Also I think that my comparisation of Heterosexuals and Transsexual was better then my comparisation of transsexuals and ice cream :P
