Following on from my previous question about the 2v2 I am wondering if 1v1 works the same way...

I am 982 again (duh) and my opponent is 1237.


I know I will probably lose both, but considering both games were set up within a couple of hours of each other, why am I playing such different opponents?!?!

One game is at the pick phase, the other hasn't started.. Though you're proably right, can't win with that attitude :P

As for on topic, the matchmaking is different when you're not ranked yet (aka, the games will be more even once you have played enough games (10, I think)). Also keep in mind that for the edge cases (eg. top/bottom players) there is less evenly skilled players and thus there will be more "uneven" games. The most important imo is to have fun, don't worry about the rankings, the difference skill wise is often less than you'd think.

Also, the basic question; Are they made the same way as 2v2?
