Dang, I am surprising myself with my speed of programming: I made this random map generator under a day!
This is what some of the maps look like:

Here's a full screen view:

And here I edited the colors:

This is for mapmakers that have no creativity. (I'm just kidding, all of the mapmakers are creative!!)

I just updated it so that you can edit the map scale :)

Does it, or will it have customization for the type of map? Scale and density, speed of change, etc?

It does not have a customization on the type of map, but there is a custom scale factor now. Sometime there possibly might be a type of map customization, but I'm not sure.
(What do you mean by speed of change?)

Whoa, that first one you showed me is pretty cool, and seeing how the map was created would help me if I made a new version.

I decided to add in some other "settings" which are actually just different color schemes using the same code. This is "Tropical Islands," my personal favorite:

I do something similar for random map generation, but I haven't written my own program for it.
Paint.Net is the program I use.

1) Open a new document
2) Effects > Render > Clouds...
3) Scale: 650 Roughness: 0.6 (You can change these numbers as you want, this is just my preference)
4) Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast...
5) Brightness: +10 Contrast: +100 (Contrast HAS to be at +100, brightness you can change to fit your purposes)
6) Copy/Paste the picture into Inkscape, rescale to the size you want, and trace over it to make your map.

Ah, yes! I have paint.Net, and know about the cloud feature but didn't think to use it for maps! Neat! Thanks for the ideas, I might use something like that for a map template in the future.

It was my idea first! Haha, but no, go ahead. You'd probably be finished before me anyway.

Eh, I probably wouldn't use that much anyway, I think it's time I slow down on mapmaking.

You used Visual Basic I guess?

Not sure if you remembered that from my previous threads or you just guessed, but yes, same old Visual Basic.
