a rating of 1800 which can only get you 7-9th in the past can now give you 3rd. Why is this so? i thought more teams are joining the 2v2 ladder now?

Grona and dunga, Timinator and ultimaratio, giovanni and schmidt, ribena and unknownsoldier are 4 high level teams that dropped out in the last couple weeks I believe. That's the way the 2v2 ladder is, it goes in streaks, at times there are 5+ high level teams, sometimes there are 0 or 1.

The average ratings are not low. The average ratings on the actual ladder are low. There are 12 teams not ranked that have ratings higher than the current 4th place team. The ladder does not give points based solely on who is in the ladder, but instead who has participated in the 2v2 ladder in the last 5 months.

They all dropped out because me and Qi beat them, and they saw the writing on the wall. No point being in the 2v2 ladder if youre not in line to get number 1.

true, there are curently quite a few decent teams joining the ladder. I'll expect average ratings to rise back soon. :)

Chris, hes not talking about the points for being ranked in the ladder. I don't see why that matters anyway, who really cares about the leveling system, it kinda died down after the first week of it.
