2 words of caution to people playing coin games:
- Playing a game with more than 2 people (at least for the auto-games), Warlight takes a higher percentage of the earnings. The 2 player auto games pay out 90% of the total to the winner, but the 4 player auto game only pays out 80% of the total payed in.
- Read the ToS, in it's entirety, especially this part:
"Warlight receives a general processing fee of $2.00 (USD) for each withdrawal You make from Your Account, in addition to any additional bank processing fees related to transferring funds. Warlight receives a general processing fee of $4.25 (USD) for emptying a Player's Account below the 1000 coin level."
So not only do you need the high level of $75 dollars to be able to withdraw, but when you do withdraw, WL takes $6.25 of that, leaving you with $69.75/$75, or 93% of your winnings.
This type of "fine print" is common in gaming and similar transactions, but I'm just trying to provide some caution to you guys who are thinking of spending money on coins. I'm not saying you shouldn't buy them, or that you should take this at my word rather than reading the ToS in full for yourself, only voicing some concerns I have and giving more visibility to them.

Okay, My attempt to turn this thread away from more complaining....
Ideas for Coin Games:
Seasonal Ladder: Buy into seasonal ladder for X coins, top Y players get payouts.
Tournaments: Single Elim, Double Elim, and Round-Robin tournaments, similar to Seasonal Ladder Games, with a single buy-in, and prizes at the end.
Is buying coins for other players an option?
Now, a question about coins. My playing is drastically cut down lately, but I think I saw these No-Luck games with first pick decided by a player that commits pick orders first. I also saw coin games that are multi-day. I also saw a fairly empty coin game lobby.
Putting these three together, I see that there may be a distinct advantage to joining a multi-day coin game that has been open with one player in it for a long time. The idea being, you could jump right into the game, and get picks in before the opponent even realizes the game has started. Is that right?

Anyone can use coins. You just can't withdraw them back into cash if you're a minor. Everyone can get the 5x point multiplier.
